  1. Im pretty sure i was the 1st to do rhinoliner on the outside of roof here on west coast..ran it that ay for 6 months asked about it my 1st show and was told there was no rule..i did it because there is no roof support behind b-pillar and roof flapped like cookie sheet.. i was tagged at autorama last year when i was kickn everyone arse in s5..all of a sudden someone thought it made me louder..so i pulled it did the same numbers..at next show.. added 2 layers on the inside roof and gained 1db

  2. I told ya before bret..i run zapco 750.2s.. the black ones are best..in the monring they wont come on till voltage drops to 16.2 but after that they work fine.. one of them popped last weekend it was the silver one..so i bought a mbquart onyx 2x100 and it works great and sounds good

  3. I wish I knew someone with a TL!

I agree with the closing oif the air vents, ive used it and gained from it

Also, be sure your power hungry AC is off

be sure that no interior or exteriot lighting is on

In other words, anything that would use electricity that isn't needed for your stereo or your car running.

rev and hold your engine RPM level around 2000- unless limited per class

SOme things I have seen give gains and work, i have not tried yet.

Romoving all floor mats in the car (carpet),

If your box is carpeted remove carpet

anything carpet acts as a sound absorber, so anything that can easily be removed get rid of it.

Drink beer during the entire event

Flipping your visors down (seriously) when your at full tilt, and the DB is holding, try flipping the visors

i gain cooling the cabin an leaving rear a/c on...moving seats forward, flipping visors etc will gain also

  4. Usd was setting records in the 80s 90s.. there was a thunderbird with a set of waveguides a pair of midbass 10s and a pair of 15subs on a aperiodic membrane setting records for dominating the show circuit..all powered by alpine amps...some of there wave guides were 2500dollars..awesome products for the time and awesome sq drivers

  5. when you say button then remote..how is button wired through its own relay? does brain have built in relay packs? when fully closed is takes more effort to pull the latch, meaning more amperage through solenoid.. its definetly electrical orientated,, check grounds.. most solenoids the housing is ground.. make sure the mounting points are paint free.. plus lube latch mechanism up so it move easier..that will help pop also

  6. That's the spirit bro... I actually didn't get A trophy Saturday for bassrace , nyman textd me later and said he had one for me.. I told rob and upperlake crew don't worry about it give what they had to the new guys... I understand they are our future in the sport and receiving a trophy 1st time out will hopefully get them to continue competeing

  7. Only 2 people could be doing this.... also as a competitor..that goes to most shows... dale was iffy.. the shows took forever..the freakn score board fell on my hood and dented it cause he didn't put it up right and I didn't get compensated... and rob does a great show... have some balls and say who you are or shut the F up...... obviously you aren't loud or win cause id know who you are...lol

  8. Use Mdf screws, you'll need to predrill anyway but those really make a difference.

mdf screws? lol. care too explain..ive been in construction for many moons never heard of these....also birch is so much stronger an lighter imo..did you guys know that mdf is porous you can suck a piece of paper with a shop vac through a 3/4 piece....and if you take subs in an out you will strip mdf easy
