Most will say find a song were you peak..as for myself I peak at 37hz and it takes a ton of power to play that low..interesting enough my loudest song is airforces by jeezy it peaks at 41 and I peak at 155dbs with it

Im pretty sure i was the 1st to do rhinoliner on the outside of roof here on west coast..ran it that ay for 6 months asked about it my 1st show and was told there was no rule..i did it because there is no roof support behind b-pillar and roof flapped like cookie sheet.. i was tagged at autorama last year when i was kickn everyone arse in s5..all of a sudden someone thought it made me louder..so i pulled it did the same numbers..at next show.. added 2 layers on the inside roof and gained 1db
-
Yes sir had it happen before
-
Old level 6 was beast I've seen a few in action and they got loud.. but like myself I use to try and get 2 subs to sound like 4 and id dump tons of power into them..so I was able to find mechanical and power limits..I had a buddy with 2 9ks on 2 lvl6 15s..
-
I think it would work..like stated before bazooka used antifreeze through there amps never saw it in person with subs...I would like to disapate some heat out of my mayhem voicecoils
-
Sundown has a good protection circuit if you run it that low...I ran 3 different amps at .35 daily and my 12k at .175 shortly..as long as you keep voltage up and know what your doing setting gains..you should be fine
-
Did a 156.9...that elusive 57 is in it I'm sure..had a good time... steve mick is here bassracing in front of me..hella kool guy...
-
eq imo..then you will have front rear and sub out plus equalisation.. i get my arc eq for a lil over 100
-
Are you doing bassrace an p&p
-
I told ya before bret..i run zapco 750.2s.. the black ones are best..in the monring they wont come on till voltage drops to 16.2 but after that they work fine.. one of them popped last weekend it was the silver one..so i bought a mbquart onyx 2x100 and it works great and sounds good

ill come make some noise then bounce

I wish I knew someone with a TL!
I agree with the closing oif the air vents, ive used it and gained from it
Also, be sure your power hungry AC is off
be sure that no interior or exteriot lighting is on
In other words, anything that would use electricity that isn't needed for your stereo or your car running.
rev and hold your engine RPM level around 2000- unless limited per class
SOme things I have seen give gains and work, i have not tried yet.
Romoving all floor mats in the car (carpet),
If your box is carpeted remove carpet
anything carpet acts as a sound absorber, so anything that can easily be removed get rid of it.
Drink beer during the entire event
Flipping your visors down (seriously) when your at full tilt, and the DB is holding, try flipping the visors
i gain cooling the cabin an leaving rear a/c on...moving seats forward, flipping visors etc will gain also

xls will take over 5k on a burp all day...but around 3k an any clipping they do not like it... ..they are m1s right? id swap to m2s.. how is the tahoe sounding op any numbers before they blew

Usd was setting records in the 80s 90s.. there was a thunderbird with a set of waveguides a pair of midbass 10s and a pair of 15subs on a aperiodic membrane setting records for dominating the show circuit..all powered by alpine amps...some of there wave guides were 2500dollars..awesome products for the time and awesome sq drivers

I do 54 55s on music and its nothing... a 57 is what I want..my teamates and rustys 59s hurt I don't like walled vehicle demos... totally in your face and ear...it hurts
-
I went from 144ish to a 159 (Rusty's dc audio van) boy was that a surprise!
Congrats on your cherry poppin
Rustys van made me tap...lol

when you say button then remote..how is button wired through its own relay? does brain have built in relay packs? when fully closed is takes more effort to pull the latch, meaning more amperage through solenoid.. its definetly electrical orientated,, check grounds.. most solenoids the housing is ground.. make sure the mounting points are paint free.. plus lube latch mechanism up so it move easier..that will help pop also

I'm trying too woo the ole lady into letting me go on Saturday to sac show.......if you can take my trophy there bro its going to cost me a dinner on the riverboat lol......
-
Ill say this all current dbdrag judges are doing a excellant job.. it was nice to see kimo competeing and supporting upperlake..also Rob is a true competitor at heart and is in the industry... there are more shows coming up than ever...:-) an I will try to make most
-
That's the spirit bro... I actually didn't get A trophy Saturday for bassrace , nyman textd me later and said he had one for me.. I told rob and upperlake crew don't worry about it give what they had to the new guys... I understand they are our future in the sport and receiving a trophy 1st time out will hopefully get them to continue competeing
-
Only 2 people could be doing this.... also as a competitor..that goes to most shows... dale was iffy.. the shows took forever..the freakn score board fell on my hood and dented it cause he didn't put it up right and I didn't get compensated... and rob does a great show... have some balls and say who you are or shut the F up...... obviously you aren't loud or win cause id know who you are...lol
-
Good job bro... and awesome score... that thing is brutal for 2 subs... I thought you had me at bassrace..we were neck an neck lol... good meeting you...as far as which subs they are..let him tell you.. they are beasts..wish I had 4 of them
-
Not all amps are strappable.... what amps are they... you can do a rca gain knob like david navone or pac..then gain match amps
-
Use Mdf screws, you'll need to predrill anyway but those really make a difference.
mdf screws? lol. care too explain..ive been in construction for many moons never heard of these....also birch is so much stronger an lighter imo..did you guys know that mdf is porous you can suck a piece of paper with a shop vac through a 3/4 piece....and if you take subs in an out you will strip mdf easy
