To rule out amps...how are are subs wired to amps..meaning from top to bottom..or did you do from left to right..what's your peak freq?they should move less there..

So low voltage makes it drop down in output...how do you get it back up? Turn it off then back on

What class? What's your system consistive of? You need a steady bass song... thug motivation airforces etc... watch your start get to the 9s as fast as you can 29 39 49 hold it there then inch your way up with 10secs left

yes i used platnum plugs gapped at.60..i think its intake or fuel pump..i heard of fuel pressure reg going out also.. who knows about the marine intake? id like to run that if intake is bad..is it smog legal here in cali

No data.. that's why I'm taking it to mechanic that has the tools an knowledge... I have my old motor in storage it lost a cylinder last dec..an I got this one used..so mite just swap intakes...we will see what mechanic says...I hate intermitent issues..hard to diagnose...thanks guys

Thanks n8...that mite be the issue...I'm thinkn since jumping to 14v its been hard on my electrical..fuel pump , ecu, tranny ..all weren't designed to run mid 16v...

Fuel pump is at least 4yrs maybe more I haven't changed it ill ask my friend I bought it from..yes it has the shitty 2 piece manifold with the spiders n poppet valves..I dumped some seafoam in a full tank of gas today..it runs good during normal driving but sputters full throttle for a brief second when hard shifting etc...haven't changed wires...my hoe is considered my work truck and its my daily driver..my boss said throw it in the shop on Monday... :-)

Noticed I had a miss at idle..changed plugs and it went away then came back..now its gone..but under full throttle underload it will stumble like a miss and sounds like a mini backfire through the intake... I'm think fuel injector an I read maybe fuel pressure reg... then I second gues an think its ignition..any help is appreciated..need this fixed I'm afraid its goin to get worse...

Thanks n8... and in no way am I promoting strapping below manufactures recomendations....just cause I do it doesn't mean everyone can..like I said I have 3 alternators 10 runs of 0g and 6 batteries and numerous other things caps dual inputs adj vm...if its not enough power get 3500.1s

I ran my dds strapped at .7 for 2yrs..so .35 per amp...make sure you have electrical to back it up...strapping only makes it easier to set gains cause you use master an you get to have bassknob...I starting having issues with strapping low so I unstrapped...I still run .35 daily..but I know what my box rise is and I have 5k in electrical

Why not save up and buy a 7.5..and run on 12v it will be a lot cheaper

Buy the time you get batteries and your just using 1 alt its not worth it.... that's if you do seperate 12v 16v system. you should be able to do 14v batterys use both alternators and no stepdowns.just buy a vcm or adj voltage harness. be careful going above 17v on stock electronics they won't like it..computer and ighs amps.. I love my 14v batterys..saw a nice gain from 12v

For beginners id use -5... first you need to learn your system and what songs are the loudest etc with your tuning...for example I can play airforces (42hz)fulltilt clipped for 30 secs and its the loudest in my hoe..subs will get really warm but not stinky..but if I play something tuned low (27)it will get stinky in 10 seconds..don't trip on recones bro..I've done the same thing..and burnt many more than I want to admit...

No way your going to fit 8 18s at c pillar...4 18s won't work ideally I've researched..my opinion to you op is sell m1s buy 4 -6 m2s on 20k.. remember just because you have a 5k amp doesn't mean your goin to get 5k..there's box rise and voltage an amperage to consider.. I have over 5k in my electrical and it barely cover my 17k watts..I only use 4 -18s on 2 -dc 7.5s in a nonwall box..and do 156s.I won state championships and placed 4th in the nation at dbdrag world finals..so its not always about a lot of subs and huge power..its 80% enclosure and design... the electrical subs amps and so on..prime example..corona jeff doing 159.2 with 4 m2 15s on 2 ab 1100s.. and a huge battery bank..
