Thanks to all, now ill try to set it with the -10db and see how it does. Thanks.

With tha 0db test tones it sounds loud but when playing music sounds really quiet. Any ideas? What or how should i set to make it loud on music? Should i use tha -5,-10,or-15db test tones to set tha entire sistem?

I got tha 3sixty setup cd and my tpi o/scope and started setting all my gains at 0db and my system was too quiet all boosts at 0 and
tried them at -5db and still too quiet what or how to set them to get loud since before triying it with tha scope it was very loud. Thanks for any help.
Btw. i dont have a 3sixty i just have tha cd to set it up.

Are your subs dual 4ohms or dual 2ohms?
-
I got mine with the blue wire conected to ignition switch that way i know whats my voltage even when tha system's off.
It looks real nice.

DC Sub looks like king kong to a monkey when compared to tha Audiobahn sub.
Its huge.

Check the load on the amp with a digital multimeter to see if your final load is around 4ohms.

0db is for competitors or people who are very scared to turn it up on music, no music is this loud, only sine waves
-3db is good for most people, stuff like Dj Billy E and Bass Mekaniks gets this loud
-4.6db is the test tone i use, it gets the most out of ur amp safely on most music
-5db/-10db RF suggested levels... lots of music is louder than -10db... so i wouldnt use that personally
So where could i find 50hz and 1khz tones at -3dbs and -4.6dbs?

Adding gain overlap when setting amp gains is recomended by Rockford Fosgate they recomend a -10 db of overlap for subs and -5 db for fullrange.
My question is what are tha pros and cons of setting with overlap?

So if i disconect my subs from tha amp and let the sub signal on will the inputs burn?

Thanks to all of you guys, i've been working and havent cheked those gains but ill try to do my best with all tha info you gave me. Thanks

Thanks to both of you! Got a reading from 1.6-2.4 ohms on the amp.
Now I heard you can adjust your gain using a DMM to check for clipping? How would I go about doing that?
I've been triying to find a step by step instructions cause i want to learn exactly how to do it with a DMM if someone could help us with this we will apreciate it.

You should turn everything off and disconect your subs from the amp and conect your DMM to each sub separately thats how i do it. And has worked for me.

I just wanted to know if theres a way to know if my bass amp is clipping other than the osciloscope. I tried my best using the traditional level setup that comes in tha owners manual but i dont feel its 100% acurate and i cant afford buying an o/scope.
Thanks for any help.

Thank you guys for your help.
Now that i know im in tha need of a new alt wich alt you think should do the work and how much amps?
Does the cap has anything to do with those voltage drops?
Im asking cause its a 10 farad, isnt suposed to help with it or not?
Should i go with an external regulator so i can adjust the alts output to a higher voltage?
Whould it help?
Your help is and will be apreciated.

Grounds ok.
Im using tha caddy alt since the stock toyota alt is rated at 70 amps and the caddy is rated at 140.
Whould a higher amp alt help me with tha voltage drops.

Hi im new here and im having problems with my system it consists of 2 rockfords 15s power dual 2 ohms wired at 2 ohms to a rockford T20001 bd, 4 audiopipe 8 inches wired to a boss 1k amp and 4 tweets wired to a rockford 301s
All of this in a 91 corolla 4d im using a cadillac 140 amp alt 1/0 cable 2 kinetics 1-1800 front and a 2400 rear with 10 farad rockford cap, the subs are in sealed, no space for ported. With the car on system off it reads 14.6v but if i turn the music and start playing it goes down to 11.5v what can i do? Also big 3 in 1/0 g. Any help or advice will be apreciated. Thanks.

X2 I also have a t20001bd and it draws a lot of current. It comes with a 250 amp. fuse so you know it needs a heavy wire.
