Well RF had a stupid idea with this rubber that covers where you screw the sub into the box. For one its a slot ported box with plexi glass, so its a b#$%# to get a screwdriver in there. I did this trying to take one of the screws out, I know it is small but it still scares me. What would be the best approach to repairing this little hole. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I am looking for mono block amp that can do 200-300 watts @ 4ohms. Right now its hooked up to a rf prime 500-1 it slams but its not my amp. I am thinking like another rf prime 500-1 or like an audiopipe ap-10001d. I am looking for something at around 100$ shipped to 98926 thank you, I would really appreciate it!

I need a H/U as well, Only have a 300$ budget like on the head. I'm gonna go with the single RF HX2.

Would a audiopipe ap-4001D power it sufficiently, Or would the audiopipe ap-10001d? If anyone has any better recommendations for amps at around the same price don't be afraid to let me know. I am also willing to buy an amp, if you have something just send me a pm.

So right now I have two choices, hx2 12 w/ box for 60 and I will purchase a amp and HU or 2 jbl gt5-12s in a box and a cs300.1 jbl amp w/ wires, rcas etc for 165. Which is the better option? Sorry for the edits I am on my phone lol.

I agree with you, I just don't have the funds to sit around and wait to buy things. I'm broke lol. I would be plenty happy with like a RF 500-1, c15 kicker and just a slot ported box.

I've had decent setups come and go and honestly I rather wait till I'm done with college for me to start investing like 1000$ into my setup. I just want some extra bass.

I know that it's probably junk to most of SMD users lol. I just want some bass on a budget. I have about 300$ for sub, amp, HU and all the installation accessories. I saw someone selling a FLI 15" Trap (amp is built on to the back of the box). He wants 150$ for it. Now i know if i wait i can find something better, This thing is fairly small which i like. I want some trunk space. Has anyone used FLI products? Where would you rate these.

Honestly I would be pleased with a HU that has aux in, a 600 watt kicker 12 and like a 500watt audiopipe amp. Like I said no dc lvl 2s no double done no bd1000s, I can't afford it let alone use it to its full potential.

Got a new car, Gave my old car / setup to my girl. I need something to put in mine. I would be happy with a cheap alpine deck, one 12" or 15" a box an amp that powers the sub and all the wires necessary to hook everything up. The only thing I am picky about is the deck, I would like aux input and usb input if possible. I know alpine carry's a cde-100 deck for like 99$ at bestbuy. I don't have THAT much money so keep in mind nothing to FANCY, just some basic equipment would work. I don't expect too much but I do like my bass. ALL equipment will be treated with care, yes I am only 20 but I do take care of my belongings, It will be put to good use but not punished UPDATE! I have about a 300$ budget for everything.

They are eclipse 87121.8 twelves. they are in a r/t obcon box tuned at 36hz right now.

The subs are in my sig, 300w rms. Amp is a RF R500-1

I've never built a custom box and I'm not very good with determining box and port size. I called the manufacture of my subs and they told me the box needs to be SPL .45 ft3 or .85 ft3 or for Boomy bass 1.5 ft3 1.75 ft3 (sealed), I personally like ported better but i don't know how to determine how big i should make it. IF someone could write me up some dimensions for the box and port that would be awesome. I'm looking for about 32-34hz. Thank you.

I did the search function and nothing came up. Thanks everyone for there input. I know my alt only putts about 90 amps ( 97 saturn SL ) but my lights have never dimmed till recently.

Lately my lights have been dimming bad when stopped at a stop sign, stop light etc. When im driving my lights are fine. I didn't think a RF prime 500-1 could make my lights dim this bad, but it wasn't always like this. Do i need to get a new alternator and put a second battery in my car? do i have a bad ground on my amp? should i do the big 3?

Jammed a sheet in the port and was suprised, rock hit harder, but like rap ( rumbling bass ) sounded distorted, so that tells me a sealed ported box is too small? or just not sealed good enough.
