first off the old one it is a MTX 8100D it puts out 1500 watts @ 2ohms at 14.4 volts and what can I say I've had this amp for years this used to power four 15 easily untill it died
Second I got two audiobahn a1200dt these put out 1000 rms @ 1 ohm a peice these used to power 8 12's they worked fine but because of improper mounting the sides seperated can fix yourself if you are electronically inclined
and last but not least A alphasonic PMA1200Da this thing pounded my 2 fi Q fifteens like no other it puts out 2500 rms @ 1 ohm It turns on but it does nothing no sound has less then 15 hours on it just died

so $200 a peice? don't think ur gonna find a sub that handles1500 rms for 200 bucks, I would recommend the Fi Q for around 350 with the bp power i got a couple of these and they soung GRRRREEATT

how in the hell do I get rid of the hand it wont let me do anything I see it on the toolbar and select it and deseselect it but it's still there any ideas?

not even 2 months old when the amp mounting screws broke and seperated reapairable ned to be soldered

I would order like a 250 amp breaker or a 300 amp breaker
where would I find one of those? sonic only gots 200 amp ones and there back ordered

What size wire do you have 80 is pretty small
I'm running 0 guage I got a 100 amp breaker and a 80 amp but only using the 100 at the moment I just hate fuses not esay to get them where I live

would a 80 amp circut breaker be alright between the batts or does it have to be a fuse? if so what amperage

shouldnt effect anything and yes wires ran from front to back.
then do I just run the amp off of the battery in the rear? if possible can you draw me a diagram?

2 batteries and wire them parallel + to + and - to -. thats it oh yea a fuse after the first battery and a second fuse before the second battery.
will it effect any of the stock wiring? and the battery will be located in the back so therefore do i need to run wires from the front to the back?

Looks good i would have made the box out of MDF but overall good job and nice little daily driverIt is mdf it's also doubled baffled

well this is my new car still got my hoe just a little easier on the gas which = more money for the hoe
and looky what I got a fi Q 15 with bp power seeing 1500 rms box is tuned to 33 hrz at 5 cu. feet

I have four bolt on spinners for sale 400.00 obo they are for these will fit most aftermarket rims for 90's style gm trucks and suvs with the six lug most gm four wheel drives will have this bolt patteren

my bad it is 5.65 cubes per chamber had to redo measure ments got rid of the audiobahn and through in my mtx this thing slams for one fiffteen can't wait to get tho other

about 6 1/2 cubes with a 4 inch port tuned to 35hz yea it's 1" mdf

this is the box if I remeber right it's tuned to 35 hrz and what I'm asking is will the Q's be louder, I mean I know they will because I'll be putting 1200 watts rms per sub rather then 300 watts to mtx thunder 5500, so I guess my question is will it make much of a difference?

xmax is not the only attribute that determines how much "air" a woofer will move while staying in control.
A hair trick needs a large volume of air to be displaced, #1 lots of displacement, #2, f3 point of the enclosure needs to be well below the fs of the vehicle, also need to play "lower" tones.
The fs of the driver is typically found to be on the lower side 25-35hz.
Not saying that you cant do a hairtrick with anything but the above, it's just that it helps alot.
And please dont ever buy a woofer by looking at specs and wondering if it will do a hairtrick, it will just be a dissapointment.
I'm not sayin I buy them for what I c I'm pretty well into the sales of car audio I just go by sound not so much specs, just that a good sounding speaker will sell alot better then #'s on a box, I'm just making a cheap empressive demo car to sell product
