I thought it was to balance out the cone too so its not getting power on one side and offset. Now I may be wrong but that was just what I thought the reasoning behind it was.

its called zip ties bitch. there about $5 and and you can cut them if something needs to be moved. obviously those batteries aint movin, so get in there and do some work on what isnt changing during those oh so difficult amp swaps. i know it wont kill you to cut a couple zip ties when you take out an amp, or does your vagina hurt after lifting 20 pounds?

ya i dig the hell out of this amp. the thing never gets hot and is a champ.
specs on my blazer, not really much. 4door, gold, same engine as every other blazer, stock electrical for now.

is it the full speed connect (blue squarish end) or the usb? what type of ipod do you have? also if its a touch what iSO is installed?
my old 9886 was hooked up through the full speed connect and after i installed iSO4 it was so horribly slow loading artist names and album names. i literally had to spin the volume nob for 10 minutes to get to the G's. so if thats the problem get yourself the kenwood that i have. its sexy, charges your ipod at the same time, and doesn't have that problem.

the sub itself isnt very pretty hes had a rough life from the looks of him. poor little guy.
had to add in a terminal (first time using a jigsaw... success)

But onto bigger and badder things ya it didnt sound bad but it didnt move enough air for me. i had two 12 type r's before it in a monster box and those things down to 1 fi 10 sealed didnt do me much justice. sounded amazing but not so much poundage wise.

Hey everybody, iv been part of this smd for a while just never got to posting anything. i figure why the hell not start with my current system.
just put in a new head unit. i used to have the Alpine CDA-9886 but this Kenwood was just too sexy.
out with the old (FI Q 10)
in with the new (Level 4 DC 18)
i will be building a new box that isnt as big to gain some room for an extra battery or two. i traded the Q for the Level 4 and in about two days it started cutting out. i popped it out and one of the leads was electrical taped so i fixed that up and good as new. the guy that tried to screw me out of a deal, screwed himself out of some money by not trying a little harder at fixing the problem. i just saw the new FI BTL's and will be beating this DC to death til i can afford the N2 18.
