  1. Well for a budget of 500 dollars and you have nothing ur not going to be able to get that much stuff for ur ride u need wiring, a HU, sub and sub amp and anything half way decent is gonna cost more than $500. A good HU and the all the wiring, fuses, rcas, and such is gonna be about half of ur budget alone.

Realisticaly for a few more hundred i could see you getting it all if you know what to look for and get things cheap, my suggestion would be to look in the for sale thread and see what people have to offer.

you can get something decent for 500 man... since when is 150dbs the only thing thats decent?

I beat two RF 12s in a sealed box on 1k RMS and it cost me less than $500

I wouldnt consider my system to be not halfway decent. Unless you go to car audio shows every weekend, most people havent heard louder

  2. basic trouble shooting FTW lol

I have a sorta list that I go through to check things on my amps real quick

First I check ground, since thats the thing thats gone out on me the most

then if theres no sound, I use a headphone to rca adapter and try out my ipod on the amp directly

still no sound, I plug in another speaker into the amp outputs

also the other power wires are worth checking, if the light turns on, its not your REM wire.

But sometimes my lights come one with the REM wire hooked up with no 12V power or ground. so you should always check every other wire too.

I have a few LEDs with resistors attached for different voltages that are ready to go for testing power supplies

still not working, it sounds like you got a problem with your amp mate

  3. yea dont sweat it. Take the batt out and see what happens. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but you have two runs of wire from alt to front batt, one run from front to back, and then another run of wire from alt to rear batt? Why not just run the wire from + to + on the batteries. In theory it shouldn't make a difference since they are wired in parallel with the other batts and alt, but I've never heard of someone doing it like this. It sounds like you have some weird love triangle going on with your wires. Maybe I'm just a noob :pardon:

If you weren't having a problem with it, I would think that observation was pointless, but since there is one, I'm just throwing it out there.

  4. bad move bro

do what everyone is saying and just run the kicker for now

theres no way you could match the watts going to each sub.

Its like you have three 4 ohm subs. but the problem is, if you wire them together, the kicker will see twice as much as the orion which is just plain stupid.

You dont see how youre gonna mess things up man?

dont come looking for advice if youre gonna just blow it all off

disconnect the orion and just let it ride as a passive radiator like someone else said. youre gonna be left with either no amp, no speakers or both if you hook it up like this and try to jam

you have two out of sync woofers. Any way you wire it, the kicker will be beating twice as hard as the orion which is NOT a good thing
