  1. Non-buffable paint markers ftw. And yeah, like a few others are saying, they can't, within the law, garnish your entire check. A quick google gave me this, hope it's what you're lookin for.

What are the restrictions on wage garnishment?

The amount of pay subject to garnishment is based on an employee's "disposable earnings," which is the amount left after legally required deductions are made. Examples of such deductions include federal, state, and local taxes, the employee's share of State Unemployment Insurance and Social Security. It also includes withholdings for employee retirement systems required by law. Deductions not required by law - such as those for voluntary wage assignments, union dues, health and life insurance, contributions to charitable causes, purchases of savings bonds, retirement plan contributions (except those required by law) and payments to employers for payroll advances or purchases of merchandise - usually may not be subtracted from gross earnings when calculating disposable earnings under the CCPA.

The law sets the maximum amount that may be garnished in any workweek or pay period, regardless of the number of garnishment orders received by the employer. For ordinary garnishments (i.e., those not for support, bankruptcy, or any state or federal tax), the weekly amount may not exceed the lesser of two figures: 25 percent of the employee's disposable earnings, or the amount by which an employee's disposable earnings are greater than 30 times the federal minimum wage (currently $5.15 an hour). For illustration, if the pay period is weekly and disposable earnings are $154.50 ($5.15 X 30) or less, there can be no garnishment. If disposable earnings are more than $154.50 but less than $206.00 ($5.15 X 40), the amount above $154.50 can be garnished. A maximum of 25 percent can be garnished, if disposable income earnings are $206.00 or more. When pay periods cover more than one week, multiples of the weekly restrictions must be used to calculate the maximum amounts that may be garnished. The table and examples at the end of this fact sheet illustrate these amounts.

  2. I'm in for the answer too! But I was told like this. To determine how many batteries you need in a bank, you do

Amps from alternator(s) - (40 to 60, I go with 50. This is current that the car itself draws) - Amplifier draw (total amp fuses, i.e. 5x 30a fuses = 150 amp current draw). This should leave you with a negative number unless your cars electrical is awesome or you aren't trying to run a whole ish load of power. You need batteries with so many Ah to make up for this negative.

For example, my car has a stock 105 amp alt. So the math for hooking up my Memphis 16-st1500d to my car works like this.

    105-50-150= -95

So I need a single battery, or a few batteries that total up to 95ah, but over hang is good!

I think this is right! At least it's how it was explained to me. Anyone else got better info chime in and tell me to stfu plz.

  3. 1200w / 14v = 85.7amps / 70%efficiency = 122amps that your car needs to supply your sub amp.

Question i've had some time now. I know you can't mix 12v/14v/16v, I know you need a special charging setup for 16v, but, what about 14v? Do you have to have a alt that charges at 14v? Or can you just replace all your 12v bats with 14v batts

  4. so he really killed somebody just to write about it on his songs?

This is the best I can come up with, it's from June, if anyone has anything more recent post it up.

Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie (real name Torrance Hatch) is no stranger to trouble with the law. Already incarcerated for probation violation on drug and gun charges, the Trill Entertainment rapper and two associates (one of them only 17 years old) were indicted on first-degree murder charges by a grand jury on Thursday, June 17.

The men are accused of being involved in the shooting of 35-year-old Terry Boyd in his own house in October. District attorney Hiler Moore stated that the killing seemed to be "over turf" and that if Lil Boosie is convicted the death penalty is not out of the question. The same day, Hatch was also indicted on multiple drug and conspiracy charges for smuggling large amounts of codeine, ecstasy and marijuana into prison with intent to distribute. His girlfriend, a prison guard and a fellow inmate were also charged as co-conspirators. In addition to these charges, prosecutors believe the 27-year-old rapper may have been involved in at least five other slayings.

If he did kill someone, atleast he's a real rapper. He gains thug points. :peepwall:

  5. Dope ass album, Boosie went in on this one. Can't wait to slapp it over the weekend, looking at the oscope on WMP there's some great bass tracks on this album, if you don't care for rap, but if you like rap and are a fan of Boosie this is an album worth buying IMO.

Boosie's alright, but this might be the last album he gets to drop. Anyone heard anymore about his murder charge? IIRC he's eligible for the death penalty.

  6. $200 with shipping, I got it all free, DC wont fix the motor tho thats the thing, so it would be like $185 shipped both ways for DC to recone my XL and then I would have to tap the motor myself, Idk why he said in order for it to be tapped correctly you had to remove the topplate?

Im thinking my best bet is just to have it all fixed by the one guy for $200 I mean I could try to do everything meself to learn but I just dont want to screw it up... and I would have to ream the basket to fit the bigger bolts... which i am assuming is just drilling it out?

Im just really pissed about the whole situation, I had my heart set on a DC XL for awhile and my gf lost her job so we have literally been livin off of like nothing, as I got to pay our rent and all the bills, so there was not gonna be money for me to buy a sub anytime soon and i got super lucky when this dude wanted to trade for my laptop because thats the only way I could afford my dream sub lol and now i dont even know if I can afford to get it fixed, And its not worth sellin cause I will only get like $90 out of it which I will have to split the original sellers, ya i could tell him I just kept it but he has been so cool about everything I am not gonna screw him over, he's already out a laptop. But I am gonna get him something one way or another because hes just a really nice guy and there isnt many good ppl out there like him anymore

:) Thanks everyone for your input This just really really sucks for me!!! Maybe Someone will fix it for my laptop lol its worth like $400, but i was hopin I could trade that for a better amp cause the one I was gonna get stuck powerin it with was da weakness lol~

This is strictly knowledge based, no actual experience behind it so someone else can chime in if i'm wrong BUT! Fixing the motor SHOULD be just retapping to a slightly larger hole since the current hole is already a set size, and is stripped. I just don't know what could/would happen with metal shavings, considering you couldn't just blow/suck them out because of the magnetic force. And yeah, removing the top plate is next to impossible, have you seen the video of them assembling the new Neo motors? When the top plate got like 2 inches away from the neos it got sucked down with some good finger breaking force.

  7. Ahh. A quick lesson then :)

Output divided by efficiency equals input, no matter what the load is.

Say your amp does 1000w into 1 ohm and it's 75% efficient at 1 ohm.

    1000w/0.75 = 1333w input

For a laugh we'll say the input voltage (your battery voltage, before drop) is 13.33 volts so you're doing exactly 100A of current.

Now let's say you play a different note and you get box rise to 4 ohms, and your amp does 300w into 4 ohms at eighty percent (stupid 8 0 80 thing) efficiency

    300w/0.8 = 375w input

    375/13.33= ~28A

So you're doing 72% less current.

Let's say, hypothetically, the old box would rise to 4 ohms from 30-40hz, so you're only pulling 28A and your electrical can keep up, easy. No matter where the bottleneck is.

With the new box, because of changed tuning etc etc, you have a very different impedance graph, and from 30hz-40hz you only have 0.1 ohm of impedance rise, leaving you with a load of 1.1 ohms. So your amp pulls 72% more current than it used to, and suddenly you have voltage drop.

Reading your posts is so much easier than school

  8. WEWT! It got here today right before I left to get my brother from work and DAMN dude, I've seen TylerTrons weight lifting video, and i've seen people beast these around like holding the motor out in front and OMFG dude SO HEAVY, I even had to help the Fedex chick get it off the truck and to my porch. And of course, pictures! YAY! Not too good, but they'll get the job done for the most part.

    First and foremost, DC FTMFW

All the assorted goodies that came with it sitting in the cone.

    SANY2235.jpg

The beast it self in the bedroom floor

    SANY2236.jpg

A really bright picture of the spider and some of the direct leads

    SANY2239.jpg

RAWR! GET STRONG! But be careful, one slip and it's plastic surgery!

    SANY2243.jpg

By this point I thought I was gonna die, but there's one more pic. BTW, I'm not a small guy, I stand 5'10 barefoot, 190 pounds

    SANY2247.jpg

Somehow I mustered up the strength to beast the motor out in front. I don't see how tyler was able to hold his shit straight out infront of him, I tried, it was completely beyond me.

    SANY2248.jpg

And lastly some shoutouts! Big shout out to PsychoAcoustics on Caco who actually sold me the woofer and included all the goodies, and a Big Shout out to Rob at DC For setting up the deal.

It's gonna be a while before I get to do anymore with the setup, so far this is my only piece of equipment, but it'll be well worth the wait. :santa:
