  1. So i know theres a few saturn guys on these forums so i wanted to know if anyone could help me find a replacement upper and Lower transmission cooler hose for a 2001 Saturn SL2 Sedan Automatic Transmission ... not just the rubber hose but the fitting too. As i was removing the radiator, my lower transmission cooler line fitting to the radiator was rusted together (because i have no splash guard) and it ended up snapping off and i wanted to replace the upper hose on it, just because. Ive been searching and searching but maybe someone already had this problem and found a solution so if someone could help me out that would be great.

if you guys need pics i could get some after school tomorrow when its daylight i need to find this part so i can order up all the other parts and get this bish running again

  2. I'll be there look for a tiny red car with 6.5ft driver lol. I'll be there from around 12 until its done. FYI take a cooler full of water bottles :turkey:

    What will you been in?

haha ill be in a tiny tan saturn probably with my brother ive got a little system just a couple of rockford p3 punches ill probably just go to watch and maybe compete next time. ill just use this show as a learning experience i guess.

What set up do you have and will you be competing?

oh and thanks for the advice ill bring me a cooler its been hooooot here

  3. Hahahaha! Who is this guy? :turkey: I think to compete it's $20 and that gets you two runs. They are 30sec runs on any music you want. On top of that they use two mics. One on the passenger's headrest and the other centered at the base of the windshield. The score taken is the average of the whole run, averaged between both mics, not the peak measurement. I'm not too keen on what's the best music. I've had good luck with the remix of that Air Force Ones, not the one on the Nellyville album. Sorry about the lame song advice. :P Unfortunately I'm not going to make this show. I will make the next one in September though. Good luck if you go and compete. :drinks:

haha you posted in one of my topics i just moved here. dang i wanted to see your ride i went through the build log a while back and you put a ton of work in your ride. maybe september ill see your ride or sooner

As onebadmonte told me there is a show this sunday. i just wanted to know who else was going? I will probably make it but it depends one whats goin on.

Say i wanted to compete for the hell of it(never even been to a show). How much is it to sign up? Ive been reading through the rules and it say it takes the average spl over 30 sec on music. My question is is it a song you choose and if it is maybe you guys could help me and let me know what would be a good song or type of song to play.

anyway this would be the first show i would ever go to and maybe if the sign ups dont cost too much i would just try and compete for fun. if not i will still try and make it and see some real set ups  *cough*onebadmonte*cough*

  5. Just moved with my family to San Antonio and wanted to know if any of you guys from here know of any shows or competitions coming up. Also wanted to know where the best local shops are around town. I just moved from northern IL so i know nothing about anything around here lol. i already like it down here cause i bought 2 12" Rockford p3s in a ported box for 150 and they were not even broken in yet. Anyway maybe some of you guys could tell me the Do's and Dont's around here.

P.S. love the weather, sick of humid ass IL ;)

  6. if you have a pioneer deck they are infamous for the popping and ground loop bs

wrap your rca shields like this

    PioneerFix.jpg

Shit i do have a pioneer.. so i need to strip the RCA's and wrap them around the according rca whole? This could go horribly wrong..

whoa dont srip the rcas strip some random speaker wire and do this then plug in the rcas and if it did it with the rcas out it might not be the problem but try this anyways

  7. Ive had a problem like this. Take out your head unit and unplug your rca cables. then see if it does that noise when you turn it off. if it doesnt do that noise then it could be that there is a blown fuse inside the head unit. the fuse is not easily fixable but you should try and wrap the rca shields where you plug in the rca cables into in bare speaker wire and ground it to a screw on your head unit it worked for me but my problem was more severe.

  8. i just ordered a sub and its on its way. this is the first time im getting a new sub so i was wondering if its true about breaking in a sub.

i hear alot of people talk about breaking it in and playing it low and getting progressively higher.

Just wondering if theres any fact to "breaking in" a new sub

So in short is it a myth or is a fact that you have to break it in.

    thanks in advance

P.S. sorry if theres already a thread on this the ones ive read didnt really have an answer.
