  1. I was thinking about getting some new headlights, turn signals, and a front grill for my 04 Tahoe. I was thinking maybe getting the Crystal Clear Headlight combo with the clear turning signals. And for a grill maybe a billet grille or a mesh grille. I was looking at the website dashzracing for the headlights and just looking at random sites for the grilles. Any suggestions for sites for headlights and grilles? Thanks :drink40:

  2. Well it's that time for an oil change and I had a question. I my suv a couple of months ago and it had 87k miles on it. I'm thinking about using Mobile 1 Synthetic Oil 5w-30. I'm pretty sure all the oil changes before weren't synthetic. So I was wondering if I change it now would it cause a problem or something or should I just stay with the regular oil? Thanks :good:

won't be a problem, if anything it will help your motor last little longer if non snyth was in it befor. only thing you want to do when switch is change it sooner the first few times to help get out the old non synth oil. i myself switched soon as i got my jeep, i use lucas full synth and love it. also doesn't hurt to drop little more on a better filter.

your local oil change place can prolly tell you how often you should change it when your first switching over. in any case synth will help lube older motor and keep them running better also helps newer motors last little longer. they also say you can go longer between oil changes once its fully switched over but i still go every 3k miles.

Alright thanks. Yeah I'm probably going to go change it tomorrow and I'll see what they say when I pick it up about changing the oil.

  3. I only paid $70 for 20% on my front windows which matched my stock tints on all my back windows. Plenty dark for me, 35% is legal here but I havent had any problems knock on wood

Well over here the law is 70% on the front and 70% on the back and the rear window any percent. But with the Suv's there is stock tint that is already over the limit so. :clapping:

Does 70% even do anything? haha seems like a waste to even pay for that. Yeah in CT 35% is lowest legal on front and anything you want for the back, oh and that windshield strip is illegal at any % unless its the stock one like I have which is that blue-ish one.

EDIT: I forgot my sunroof had a 20% stock one or 25% dont remember but I put a 5% over it and even in daylight it looks closed, its dark as hell. Forget it at night, you cant even see the streetlights if your parked right under it.

Haha damn yeah I might just get 20% over stock. Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 6 inches of the windshield. Soo

  4. Well I found a place that would do my whole truck and front windshield strip for $200. Now I just need to decide should I do 20% over stock or 5% over stock. Suggestions? :drink40:

    Do 20% just my 2

I was thinking that. I mean if I do 20% over stock it will meter out at around 5%ish and if I put 5% over stock it will be around 2%. :peepwall: I think it will be annoying to look out the windows at night with 2%. Hah

  5. How hard is it to see out of the back @ night. Haha

200$ for 20% over stock tint on the rearwindow and back side windows in the ext cab and 35% up front, and the hack job tint I had done by another guy previously was taken off included in that price.

How dark is the 20% over stock? It makes it look like 5% tint?

Yea looks like it to me the guy that did it said it should be around 5% they were really good they also tint building and house windows so they know their stuff. I personally wouldn't want it any darker than I have my back, I wish I went to 20 % in the front though but the limit here is 35 so I didnt want the hassle of maybe having to take it off and get it redone to 35

Hmm Yeah I was undecided whether I should go with the 5% over stock or 20%. The tint laws over here say 70% on the front windows.. Lol Oh well.

  6. There are much better brands out there but for that price it's a good deal. $10 for removal is also good, most places it's $30+. What kind of warranty are they offering though? Any good place will offer lifetime on the tint and workmanship.

I looked around and this was the cheapest place. Most places around here want $200+ to tint my truck without removing the tint and that is using just the basic tint with the basic warranty. So that's why I'm most likely going to go with this place.

  7. Has anyone ever used this brand of window tint film or heard of it? The window tinting place near my house uses it and they said it would cost $175 to tint my whole truck and remove the old tint on the 2 front windows. I just want to make sure the tint is good quality?

Thats what i used when i tinted up my truck, Good quality, you wont be disappointed.

Alright thanks going to setup the appointment this week. :drink40:
