The bass in Pop the trunk sounds like ass on the part where its normaly low the hz change real fast and sound like it changes db's in the middle of the bass.

OH SHIT. lol dont use virtual DJ to do anything besides chop and the dj effects. Leave the pitch tempo and speed alone on Virtual DJ. It just does not resample anything right. lol

Speed AND temp? lol wow... just use the speed. It will mix pitch and tempo well. I always use -15 speed sometimes more sometimes less. I dont fine tune with pitch or tempo. I just let the speed adjust resample for me.
Yeah and after slowing it down on Audacity I slowed down the pitch on Virtual Dj. Lol

They say that the 55w ballast give less color than the 35w. But they say if you get 8k 55w they will look like 6k 35w and etc.

Your song's tempo is slow as FUCK! With that being said use audacity to slow the SPEED and it will even out the pitch and tempo pretty well. The chops are pretty slow as well. It was a hard song to do in all honesty.
Your friends songs pitch is a little off but the chops are perfect to me. The Flange is a little heavy look for "Flange lite" in virtual DJ's effects.(assuming that's what you are using.)
All in all you want to resample the song to make the voice and music sound different.
If the voice's pitch sounds the same just slow then you are not resampling right.
Don't stop trying. It is a very good effort on your part but it does take practice.

Well I think I finally got the chopping and screwing part down. I know I messed up a little bit in the song but it was my first one. I bass boosted it on Audacity to 32 hertz. Let me know what you think. My friend wanted me to post his to see how you guys thought of his too. Thanks

The trick is to always use the crossfader. Keep the beat in your head. If you want a simple count use a 1-2 count. Start the first deck on the first count and start the second deck on the second count. Make sure your crossfader is RESTING on the second Deck you started.
Now using that same count move the crossfader on the first beat and then back on the second. It helps to kind of get a feel for the beat before you chop it.
ANYTIME i chopped music i used this method.
Shortcuts are so cheap sounding. any one who chops or in the very least mixes music NEEDS to learn to use a crossfader.
listen to my version of in the air tonight. Bigpimpin also has a version of this song with slower chops.
Basicly my chops are going to a faster BPM. to me i like the way i chopped it. OTHER people don't but usually i chop music for me. I rarely share unless asked to. lol

Do like an XL 15 on 1500rms with a good battery up front. 0 gauge is fine and so is big 3. And power acoustik is doo doo, that's why he said no. For an amp do like sundown, or kicker, or AQ, etc. Just not power acoustik.

I'm thinking about running a 15" Fi Btl in a 4.0cu ft. box at 32hertz. For an amp I was thinking a Power Acoustik LFA1-5500D at 1 or 2 ohms. And running 0 guage and probably the big 3 upgrade. It's going in a 04 Tahoe so I don't think I have to upgrade the alternator just yet. What do you guys think?

If you slow with Virtual Dj it might not be sampled right... And bass boosting with virtual DJ is even more fail.

yea man its cool...theres a recording feature which records what you do as an mp3 so like I said I mix it live and record while im doing it and thats how i get my mp3:) its also super easy to slow and bass boost using it

unique autosports dawg! I kid. Im sure you dont want to spend that much to tint. there has gotta be a place to do it close by. ny tint laws suck though. some things to look into are the kind of film they use and if its hand cut or laser cut. laser cut is much more precise.
