  1. Hey all,

I'm looking to buy some subs specifically HDC315-A Aluminum Coil Subwoofer Two of them at 1000 rms apiece. My question is is there an amplifier that can output 2000 rms and give the subs 1000 watts rms apeice? Or should I get 2 separate amplifiers and have them be 1000 rms apiece? I had an earlier thread about a setup I was suggested to get and this is the amp that was suggested to me was the AQ3500D.1 Amplifier. Now is there an amplifier that is cheaper than the listed price on the AQ site that can provide either 2000 rms or is there two single 1000 rms amplifiers that are cheaper than the site listed price?

Any amp that is rated 2000rms will work. 1 amp will do you just fine, i fear you wouldnt know what to do with 2 of em. And if you are looking for cheaper than you saw listed then you are going to have to search the net, and the classified sections here and try to find that. Good luck though.. :good:

  2. i would do another fuse before the back battery, so if the wire gets pinched you still have protection.

Oh yeah and this too. (how did i miss that). That second fuse is so if your wire gets cut right in the middle on the front side the front fuse will blow, and on the rear side the rear fuse will blow. Without it if your wire gets cut you will have a nice little fireworks show going on inside your ride.

  3. i dont beleive the powerwerx 1/0 welding cable isint really 1/0...scott bowman uses that

either fold some over or tighten that bitch down

Its tight as hell. I think if i go to tight.. it will just start breaking each piece of wire... till i hit bottom.

    Ps.. i don't own a soldering gun.

Dude a soldering gun is way cheaper than that amp. I know I own 2 of em. But you should be able to screw it down far and have no problems.. Keep us posted

  4. Steve - Does the 2 Day shipping that I paid extra for still get honored when the DD1 ships?

i shipped a few out 2day....what is your first name?

also, i shipped a few to Canada but i need to fill out some forms before they will be released. They called and said i needed to handle that before they would ship out.

I emailed a few weeks ago to verify if my order went through and heard nothing maybe you could help out with this one?

  5. What are the chances of us LA folks just picking ours up from where you guys are putting them together?

that would be no problem at all....but i gotta see just how busy we will be and what side of L.A. we will be on.....if you bought one and are close by, hell ya, come by and get yours!!

ill let you know what part of town ill be in when i get ready to roll out.

    thanks again guys!

Now that I like the sound of..

    :yahoo:

  6. yes you are correct.itll act the same was as if you just ran the amp remote leads directly to the amps however,it allows you to use the amp remote lead wire to power multiple amps without harming anything in the head unit. once the hiead unit is powered on (when car is started) power that is sent through the wire will energize the relay and the power from the battery will go to the amps, instead of power from the head unit. the remote wires are rated anywhere from 250ma-500ma, 3 amps will consume that much, and may draw to much current, damaging the REM output circuit , which may cause the HU to no longer have any output from the remote lead. are the words remote lead starting to sound stupid to you because they are to me, god damn, anyways. you may not be running 3 or more amps but you may run a processor or equalizer or crossover which all use the remote. even if your not using those its still a good idea to run a relay just to be safe, then its done and you don't have to worry about it if you decide to put any more amps/processors or what haveyou.

sorry i just re read your post and all that i said may not have been needed, cause i think you get it. but dammit i wrote it so its being posted

I got it now, I will go ahead and run one, I guess ill just get power straight from the terminal, and rum a small gauge next to my 0 gauge I only plan to run 2 but nothing else will go in this car but who knows the next one I might so good to already have the stuff on hand. Ok so tonight I'm gonna do a write up of individual products amd get opion on those but other tjen that, can u just get a relay anywhere ? And only 5-6 pin will work?

SPDT 5 pin should do you nice..

  7. you need a relay so you don't burn up the remote lead on you HU. its basically a switch with the remote lead being the trigger and power from the battery supplying the juice to the remotes on the amp. when you turn on your HU it'll trigger the "switch" in the relay causing the power from the 12v connection to go through to the amps remote.

get a 5 pin remote and wire it:

pin 30 to a 12v connection (battery)fuse it around 5 amps or lower.

pin 85 to the decks remote lead

    pin 86 to ground

pin 87 output to amp remotes

    pin 87a is not used

    accessoryrelaywiring.png

relay pins are marked so that makes it easier. better to be safe than sorry, don't want to burn anything up on your head unit.

and as the the ohm load on your amp. how many subs do you wanna run? if you wanna run 2 at 1 ohm get some dual 4 ohm subs and run coils and subs in parallel, if you wanna run one at 1 ohm get a dual 2 ohm and run the voice coils in parallel

dont mean to confuse just wanting to help.

Oh no belive me ur helping. Thats exactly what this thread was for im all about do it once, the right way never do again. so instead of running remote off the headunit splitting it into 2 remotes towards the back of the car, i run a relay bassicaly by the amps and it allows me to control both off 1 remote?

I would add a diode in between 85 and 86 with the cathode on the HU side.

  8. Always thought it was a ugly car, still is lol. Would much rather have some American muscle that will give that car a ass whooping :D:good:

And just what american muscle car would take a bugatti?

the SSC ultimate aero, WAS the fastest, and faster than the veyron for 2009/2010... which is an american car

but its now ranked #3 in the fastest

    3. SSC Ultimate Aero: 257 mph

    2. Koenigsegg Agera R: 260 mph,

    1. Bugatti Veyron: 267 mph

So basically, the answer is none.

    yeah.......

    Epic Fail :good:
