  1. Ok so i bought his smd sub from him. Good buy for me. We had good communication. I hate that i didnt get to meet him because i picked it up from his brother, but if he's anything like his bro then hes cool in my book. I would with no doubt buy from him again. I was happy to have done business with him as you will be too..

  2. Im kinda on a budget here and i'm wondering if a t400-4 would power 2 sets of punch 6.5's and 2 8'' p2 subs.... I would be running the front channel bridged for the 2 sets of comps and the rear bridged for the 8s. I have a 3sixty.2 also so i can tune everything as i please. Im downgrading for now and im running a t1500.1bdcp on just 1 t2 15''... Please let me know the input as im wondering if it will power everything enough.

Dont see why not. Check the specs on the speakers.. looks like if you wire it correct you should have no problem. Which 6.5 and P2 8's do you have? They have 2 6.5 (1 component, 1 fullrange), and like 6 diff P2 8"'s..

  3. I think what will help you out is if you let these guys know exactly what you have now AND exactly what you plan on replacing it with. Not just I have "X" sub and "Y" speakers. That will be a good start. It may sound repetitive but it will get good responses. I know what its like to ask a question and get all sorts of cracks about being a :noob: just throw it all out there and you will find better answers. Good luck with this project and dont forget to take many pics :good:

  4. I get paid $8.25/hour. There have been times when I get beaucoup hours and get 13 hours in a single day. But lately my general manager has been making schedules and he's rather sexist... And I'm the only guy on my crew. Like this week that's about to end (our work weeks are Wednesday to Tuesday), I didnt even get 4 hours. And next week I'm only scheduled 4 hours... And Ive tried to get a different job and not a single reply.

well good luck on the job hunt. Punch are awesome I just prefer the power sound quality. If cost is an issue then you can always try your luck with ebay (I know ill catch some shit for it that one). I've bought equipment from there before without any trouble and even have a few of my current toys from there. People will say that you dont get a factory warranty.. but i got my h/u from there and that thing has been bullet prof for over 5 years of heavy use. Just research the seller that you buy from and stay away from individuals selling on there..

  5. 34/78 doesnt fit due to it having "+" post on driver side and "-" on passenger side. My stock wiring is "-" on driver "+" on passenger which is why I would like to get reversed but my current is a group 35. The red top comes with the poles like that already. My wires are already upgraded (Big 3). I just wanted to avoid having to extend the wires. Its a tight space to work with a solder gun and torch to add to my wires. But i might just go with the D3400. I think the buy is at 15% correct? Whats the total cost and how do I add to my sig to get the free shipping? Thanks for all your input too..

Yes, the Group Buy is at 15%, so the D3400 is $203.15. You can just add the logo in your signature through the user options.

Ok added the banner, now what do I need to do to place my order?

  6. Do you have any specs on the HF1215 charger? What amperage/s does it charge at? Does it automatically go into float when the battery is charged? Price w/ discount?

    Thanks!

It is a 12V 15amp high frequency charger. It is an automatic charger that will go into float mode just like the 1005. The price with the discount is $169.15.

What would fit under the hood of an 95 Impala SS? How many batteries would you recommend for this set up...I currently have 4 3100s Batteries.... 2 Sundown 4500ds, 1 Sundown 200.4, and 1 Sundown 100.4..thanx

The D3400 would fit under the hood. If you are still running side terminals then you would need an iBar kit.

Are you running on stock alt and wiring or have you upgraded? Is it for daily use or competition/demo use? The Sundown amps are very power hungry, so 2 D3100 for each 4500 is a good start for sure.

Nate, I just sent you an email regarding my batteries... =(

Email returned. UPS will take care of it for you after you give them a call. When they throw a 79lb battery around or drop it off the back of a truck there is not a lot we can do. Everything will be taken care of though. Sorry they damaged your battery, but we will have a replacement to you shortly after you get us the tracking info.

I sent you an email too Nathan regarding UPS destroying the box and damaging the battery, after they delivered it to the wrong house I heard them throw it back in the truck, not the best thing to do with a huge battery. imag0800.jpg

That's what my packaging looked like, that's after I cleaned out all the Styrofoam that had turned to dust basically. I don't like UPS :(

Tis the season for UPS to damage what they can. If you haven't already filed a claim with UPS, then I would go ahead and give them a call. Since, they delivered it UPS will not allow us to file the claim. Just give them a call with your tracking # and tell them everything you saw and what the driver did. They will schedule someone to come out and look at it, and then give you a shipping label with tracking number and schedule you a pick up. Once they pick it up just give me a call or shoot me an email with the tracking # they gave you. We will get you set up. Sorry for the problems. If UPS decides they want to drop it out of the back of the truck there is really no packing that would save it...........lol

Is the group 51 the only battery available in reverse? I have a 99 Lexus RX and im trying to find a battery to replace my red top up front. Running 2000W audio system, upgrading alt in the next few weeks, and I want a battery that will keep my electrical happy and leave room for future upgrades, yet fit in the factory location..

That vehicle uses a Group 24F, which is the same size as the D2400, but the terminals are reversed. With the reversed terminals you could extend your cables or if you have some slack in the OEM cables it may work anyway. If you are going to upgrade all of your wiring then this would be an easy mix, because the new cables you run would work with the new battery.

Which optima do you have in there now? The red top 34/78? If you want to stay with that size battery then the D3400 would be the choice, but the terminals are also reversed on it.

what fits in the factory location for a s-10 98 ?

The D3400 should work for you and if you are running side posts you would want to get an iBar kit to give you the side posts.

I called in and u have to order by the 20th

Must have been a misunderstanding on the phone call. Sorry about that. Orders have to be in by the 27th of Dec.

  8. Go by the 750x2 so go with the 1500 one if you go with the 600x2 you will set it for only 1200w

That tell me what I need to know. Thanks a bunch guys. Would you recommend setting it to the exact voltage it says, or a little lower just to be safe?

Regardless of what voltage you set it to you might still be clipping and the only way to find that out is to scope that bad boy.. I had my voltage set correct on my last setup but when I got my O-scope I found out I was clipping hard..

  9. Some people are haters plain and simple. Speaking as a young black male who has experienced his share of racist run in's, this is the society that we live in. Steve thanks for bringing attention to this issue and getting that youtube page shut down. But lets just be real there will be another one just like it back up before you know it. I figure the narrow minded idiot who runs the site has nothing better to do with his life than hate on people of a different race. While I have a life, a career, a girlfriend, a bitchin car audio system, and other hobbies that dont allow me time to hate on those who have what I want. If someone is gonna hate on you that hard it lets you know that you are doing something right, and usually when they start talking that hate shit I just turn up the volume knob and drown them out with the bass.

On another note Steve Mead if you read this I want to know if you still have your crossovers from your T1652-s.. I'd like to buy em from you. (or accept them as a free gift :pardon: )

  10. ok im new here and im pretty sure this has been asked many times but my friend keeps telling me that anything over a 12inch sub will sound sloppy and shitty and i have herd 4 15in fi x and it sounded amazing but i thought i would double check sense u would know haha

First off you need to go to your friend.. look him dead in the face.. proceed to raise your right hand at a 45 degree angle.. and backhand him.. then go find a badass 18" sub throw some watts at it, with a 15.1v system and 4 batteries and hair trick that fucker.. B)

  11. First off, These seem very necessary for having a clip free system. So, i was wondering where you guys get them? All the ones I have seen on the internet are pretty darn expensive, which I don't really want to spend if I don't have too. Do places like car toys have any or something that you can borrow?

Well for me when I was looking I would go to Frys Electronics and drop a few hundred on one, use it and return it after I was done (yeah yeah i know). But I found out that I needed it more than I thought so I shopped ebay till I found a good deal on a used one. Most of the places I found that would rent them were electrical test equipment shops and they rented for just as much as some cost. Just save your $$$ and look for a good used one or new if thats your thing. If cost is the issue it will be far cheaper than killing and replacing your equipment from clipping..
