grounded head unit did nothing ... and yes it is a pioneer but i get engine noise even when the head unit is not plugged into the RCA's only when plugged into the AMP so only thing going from HU to amp is the remote and i still have engine noise ... and a hiss even when the engine is off i have tried multiple grounds with capacitor without capacitor tried 4 sets of RCA's all the same thing >.< i have the HU ground upgraded and bolted to the chassis. i tried the amp grounded on capacitor capacitor is grounded on battery tried amp and capacitor grounded to chassis not battery tried capacitor grounded to battery and amp grounded to chassis all the same results ... noise coming from speakers when only the rca is plugged into the AMP. and RCA's are outside of car ...

ok so what could it mean when engine is off and i took a new set of RCAs and plugged them into the amp ... when i plug them into the rear RCA's massive high pitched noise comes from the front when the RCA's are only plugged into the amp nothing on the other end ... when i touch the rca's i can make it thump ... when i plugged them into the FRONT RCA's its still there but ALOT less ... its like the channels are reversed ... plugged into rear loud noise from front plugged into fron little noise from front .... what could that mean ? The RCA's are plugged into the AMP outside of the car.

ok so as of right now i think the amp is broke .... i refixed the ground and it still makes the noise ... also what i noticed is that i have my front speakers hooked to front 2 channels and subwoofers hooked up to rear channels ... i put the front RCA into the front RCA jack and i get music coming from the front channels AND the subwoofers .... not subtle but like the subwoofer RCA's are hooked up and there NOT .... what is wrong with that picture ???!?!!!!?!?!?!??!

i bought it when Best buy was switching over from rockford to kicker (MEH) and it was there display one was never plugged in just bolted to the rack to show people. got it for 130 so IF it is bad then i wont feel bad putting a few bucks in it because websited MSRP is 360. I will bolt it up to my rear strut mount i also think it could be the connection on terminals, it was my first ever solder job so maybe thats bad does anyone have like 7 or 8" of 0 gauge laying around :-)))

i have a p400-4 amp rear is running bridged at 2 ohm 200WRMS 2 p1 150WRMS each and front running 2 components, on the subs i have gain set at 3/4, punch set to about 1/4 running a 50hz tone sounded good no distortion sounded nice and clean. While playing a song when a heavy bass line starts up the amp will shut off and back on really quick. Also i have engine noise coming from the front tweeters. the noise is through the speakers also when engine is off i have constant high pitch whine. come in when 1 RCA gets plugged in in any of the 4 inputs, one rear is plugged in noise from front. i have my capacitor grounded on the battery terminal about 12" long. the amp is grounded to the capacitor about 4" long. running 4ga Rockford fosgate wire power and ground. Power from Batt to Cap is about 12-14" long power from amp to capacitor is 4" long. The RCA's are Rockford Fosgate single twist but i don't think it is coming from the RCA's due to i can plug in the sub RCA into the Rear and noise comes in to the front. I bought the amp from best buy and it was open box so i think it might be the amp i have tried all the other possibilities. RCA's are ran away from power wires and no part of RCA is coiled in a bundle. Any advice would be very helpful.
