the reason the 2 15s sounded better than the 3 is because you have 3 big subwoofers that want to move a lot of air, the 3 15s in the trunk are cramped and have no air to move, plus the 2 in one box and 1 in a single, the 3 subs probably don't all have the same air space per sub so they are not firing simultaneously causing air turbulence and the subs are canceling, you would probably sound better if you made a good ported box and ran 2 of them underpowered at 2ohms with all gains and settings set correctly

ok so this guy i know does metal castings out of his back yard and he does some really good work and he wants to try and make costom speaker grills and i was wondering if i could get the help from the forum and have you guys draw up some designs that you think you would like to see on costom grills, so LETS SEE THEM DRAWINGS !!!
you can be very intricate but no areas smaller that 3/16"

i have some dayton dvc 8" woofers in the back of my car and they sound really nice, there dual 8 ohm so you can wire them to 4ohms there 80wrms and i think they sound great and you cant beat the price!!
or you can also get the dayton reference 8", i have the 7" and i think they sound really good they cant hit the lows very well but they sound very clean, only thing is that the susspension is very soft but they sound really good
those are 2 speakers i have used and i like both of them, the dvc seems to hit lows alot better but both VERY good

Cant you just use odd screws... How many people carry around torx screwdrivers.... Suggestion
if its regular torx you can use a straight head, needs top be the ones with the center nipple

Looks like he screwed a piece of mdf to the floor. With the other piece drilled two holes for the bolts. Add some washers each side of the bolt, screw the mdf with the bolts in it to the other that is mounted to the floor. Then like he said, get some wingnuts to hold down the cables, and now you have a dist block. When best buy was getting rid of there rockford stuff to make room for the kicker stuff, they had all the r.f stuff on clearance. I ended up picking up two or three dist blocks for like 4 or 5 bucks each. Was hella cheap. I also got like 3 or 4 8g capacitor install kits that was like 2 bucks each. Really just wanted it for the wire.
Nice steal on the RF stuff, and I didn't know there was a picture before because it didn't show up haha I feel dumb now. I just ended up buying some because the way I was gonna bolt them woulda looked real clean, but was gonna cost me almost just as much.
nice i did the same thing!!! 2 caps for 10 dollars about 10 2pack fuses at 1 dollar each 2 rockford batter posts at couple dolalrs distros at couple dollars 3 packs of dual twist for 10 dollars all of there 8/4/0 terminals at 1 dollar each, i cleared out the three best buys close to me HAHA

bomb ready to blow when armed :-)
serious note im a FIRM beleiver of out of sight out of mind, and you can get security screws that have diferent shapes to use, avaid torx bits unless they have the nippled center because you can use a straight head to unscrew torx bits and you can also get screw covers to hit the screws,
another thing you could do if you still dong install is what i did to my system is to get this off you have to take that off and to take that off you need to take that off which is blocked by this thing ect... hard to reach brackets help also

might i also add that a clamp on a coolant hose broke so alot of coolant probably got on the coil

ok so my car out of the blue almost stalled out and then i push clutch in and it hesitates, i have driven this car for 4 years havnt stalled out in over a year but now when i give it 3/4 to full throttle it missfires and sputters, when i am idle if i give it WOT it almost stalls out / stalls out and when i listen in the engine bay i hear a clicking like an electrical connection isnt 100% near the ignition coil area, i took the multi meter to it and the + - pins read 1.6 ohms and the side terminal and the center high tension terminal read 13,800 ohms, what do you guys think? new coil time? if not what else could it be?

Alright, So I stayed out of the comp, I did not pick the winner, I brought people over and had all of the t-shirt designs printed out hanging to allow everyone one of them to be seen and a vote was taking. 2 of them tied.. They went back and forth fighting for the shirt they liked and why it should win but in the end no one budged so I flipped a coin to determine the winner.
Before we get to that part I want to say THANK YOU!! to all of the entries. There is a lot of great work here, all of you took time out of your day to make something for us and it means a lot to us so again thank you. There are a lot of shirts we could easily make into t-shirts and we would like to do just that, We are going to put several of them into print. Not only are we going to make more than one, were also going to give away more prizes!! SOOOOOOOO Here we go!!
Winner by a coin toss and the new owner of a pair of Lv312's!!
all very much for making this contest a great success!!
my idea :-)

this car is not for the husband and wife, i see bad things happened with wife and husband on each side ....
-
from what ive been told and im doing it with no problems if you set up both cross overs for each component set you can then wire them in parallel from crossovers to amps to 2ohms but not speakers to crossovers, i ran my components in parallel ( 2 on each door ) each crossover puts out 4ohm then i paralleled them to 2 ohms and they work fine
-
thats what im saying im really curious as to what would happen lol, i might buy a cheap paper cone dvc to test it out haha
-
what would happen if you took a DVC sub and hooked one coil up to one channel and hooked the other coil up to another channel and wired the coils out of phase? if i had a trash dvc i would do it just to see what would happen but i dont so i thought i would ask.
-
thats cool to think your subs blew a box up lol,

ram design is a good person to ask, you can try doodling with torres tuning calculator and see what you can come up with yourself and then post it upand get help from there, best way to learn is to try as much as you can yourself and have your wrongs corrected
