i bought 2 but i will be putting them in 2 seperate boxes unless them in the same would sound better?
-
ok i just bought some 8" midbass woofers and i need to build a box for them and dont know how big they need and what not, if anyone could help me out that would be great
-
Ok thank you very much I will take the tips to heart thanks guys
-
Ok so I started laying sound deadner for the first time and its harder to work with than I thought, how do I get the stuff to contour to the indents and ridges ect to the metal without cutting it all up or is that the only way ??? Also any kind of pointers would be great
-
would love thing sone once the bass is boosted if you dont mind !!
-
what would be a good type of box for those 8" midbass drivers? here link to them

i think i will try those goldwood speakers, if people can keep throwing out there ideas that would be great but i like the orice of the goldwoods lol and people have given them some good review so its worth a try
-
just a quick search
think that will work good for midbass ?
-
well im not really sure whats a good speaker and whats a cheap one :-/
-
sweet thanks i am hoping to get one thats 100WRMS 4ohms
-
this any good, looking to not spend alot? would this do a good job?
-
how would this speaker work? it would be getting 25Watts under rated wired to 2 ohms ? what you think
-
yes this is running off a 4chan amp and the front channeles are being used by the front speakers i only have the 2 rear channels open, if i was ton only get 2 8" midbass drivers i could prolly spend around 100 for each but the cheaper the better, i was going to get 2 8" midbass drivers that are around 100WRMS 4ohms and wire them in parallel bridged to the rears
also if i can get away with and if cheaper i would do 2x 6.5 midbass drivers but i think 8s would look cooler behind the seats.
-
make sure the surface is nice and clean then before you lay wipe it down with alcohol, some say to use a micro fiber cloth with the alcohol but im sure any ole cloth will do
-
i would like to spend max area of around 100

whats a good but cheap 8" midbass woofer, looking for it to be 4ohms 50watts RMS or 100WATTS RMS
-
You know a good 6.5 or 8 inch midbass woofers?? My amp does 50watts each channel 4 ohms 100 watts 2 ohm 200 bridged I am think that's what ill do is midbass behind seats,
Caqnt get pics now everything is out of car for sound deadner and finally rewireing battery in trunk all the wire I had was shitty 0 gauge that was actually smaller than my rockford 4gauge and only cca, I guess when you pay 15 dollars for a 25 ft spool lol
Thank you x99999999 for all your help it really means alot
-
And where would I put the 3inch fullrange ??
-
What could I use for midbass in the rear ?
-
That's one of my pictures before I put the baffle on the box it goes across whole back
-
that was along time ago, I'm gona finish this build and have only subs in the back for now won't use rear channel once I get it done and have pics ill see what I can do with rear channel
In all honesty as you might already realize I'm an idiot when it comes to speaker placement ect.
-
The sub box is where the back seat was, baffle goes all the way across the back behind front seats I used to have 2 6x9 that sat behind the front seats angled up
-
Iget what your saying but I want a little something more than just subs in the rear like something to add a little more mid and vocal in the rear not just subwoofer, I want to use the rear channel of my amp, but also to add more than just subwoofer in the rear, what can I do?
-
I will have car completely sound deadened, the sub amp is P300-1 and the other amp is P400-4 I have one set of components in stock door location and another set below them in a fiberglass speaker pod the speakers are orion cobalt 6.5 components I wana stick to the same brand for the rear if I get them I was thinking putting 2 6x9 coax on the floor in front of sub box angled toward windsheild or maybe 4 6.5 coax in rear
need help with a box, dont know what size
in Subwoofers / Enclosures
