How wide should the port be?

Dont quote me on this but i have seen it done and its on youtube. But i havent tried it yet. I have a module that controls my LED's and senses the bass its ok not too great but still cool. But i think you can hook up your 12 vold LED strip to your small channel amplifier if you have one. Positive to Positive and Negative to Negative on the channels so when the frequency hits the LED's will light up. Like i said i havent tried it yet but i seen it on a small amp i think 400 rms by 4 channels so mayble like 100 rms to each channel. Cant be to positive till i try but i havent had time to take my car apart yet

Umm well i know the height has to be like 14" cause then i cant slide it in my trunk cause its a mustang trunk. I was trying to make the box 1.5 or 1.75 cubic feet somewhere for optimal performance. Like i said i have very little idea of how to design a box

Or if any body wants to give me some sizes thatd be great too

haha ok guys it wasnt a typo but like i said first design still trying to get the hang of it. Alright ill change it back to .75 mdf and ill definitley change the height of port. Any suggestions on how wide the port should be?

This is my first box design and first ever box attempt to be made. I was looking for a lil bit of help. I have a Re audio 12" REX but im kinda building the box for a DC audio level 3 12". I used Torres calculator but idk how to post the image but ill tell you guys what i have so far: Height 14" Width 25" Depth 12" Gross Volume 1.60ft^3 Woofer Displacement .15 Port Height 14" Width .5" Lenght 9" Tuned to 33.52Hz I was thinking of using 1" thick wood. This is going into a 2008 mustang. If you have any opinions let me know like i said first ever but i have seen and know pretty good concept of what to do. Just dimensions and everything quite confusing. I listen to rap mainly hip hop and r&b. Also im trying to make this box last so best materials so theres no leaks or anything. Thanks any input is appreciated

yeah thatd be great! i heard its good stuff im just scared itll smell. I might just get a lil and leave it out for a day and see what happens

yeah i heard good and bad about peel and seal and i figured no on that. I know second skin is legit just fat mat is cheaper but i think im not gunna be cheap just to do it right. Cause i hate rattles! Anything else that doesnt smell?

Does fatmat really smell that bad? Im debating on either second skin or fat mat cause of the price. And i keep seeing people say it smells sometimes sometimes it doesnt i live in florida so it gets real hottt. Just trying to see any opinions thank you

well the 8's are just stock and they can only go 4 inchs deep. and what does that dc sub usually run for?

i have actually had good experiences so far with ebay. But i only buy brand new not even refurbished stuff...and yeah i figured that thatll be complicated to do atleast no one will be able to take it haha

Bassll0va---Yeah i might need that just right now this is something for future not sure how long itll even take to get it all still gotta make the money watch the bass---these are using stock locations i dont really wanna build something for the doors and add it on...and why stay away from those amps? and can you describe that amp you showed me that thing just looks insane and expensive

Heres a lil setup im thinkin bout and i want to seee what people think. This is goin into a 2008 mustang with shaker 500. All wire is KnuKonceptz Big 3 1/0 gauge 1/0 gauge to 4 gauge for amp Amp for sub-Sundown SAX 1200D Mono Sub-Re audio SXX 15" D2 Door mids-Dayton Rs225s-8 8 inch Mids & Highs-Crescendo ccx65 front and rear deck 2 more crescendo cts-1 tweeters in the fronts Amp for mids and highs- UNKNOWN any help would be appreciated!! Sub box-Undecided not sure if i want the sub to be in the spare whole with custom box built facing up or just a normal box id like optimal results but with such a small trunk i know its hard Ill most likely use second skin in the trunk and doors if that still not good ill do roof too and maybe floor. Umm also any help with a battery i was thinkin an XS power one but idk which one. I running a pioneer avh-p4000 right now prolly keep it i like it. But this is the setup im thinkin just been messing around with somethings so any opinions would be great any help or something cheaper would be awesome thanks in advance
