So if i wanna power 3 amps from my HU, I should buy a relay?
Or run them from my battery with a switch?
yup usally the remote wire can handle about 2 may get lucky with 3 but after that you need a relay. or do what i do run it from the battery with a switch then to a distribution block.

yes you can do that. when you add a relay you are basically running a wire from battery to remote turn on. the HU remote just flips the relay, you will be doing the same thing, just manually

from what iheard is running 2 amps off the remote wire is usually the most you should. you can get a relay that will let you im pretty sure.

Yeah mine doesn't have a remote just pos and neg but that's what I plan to do just run a switch

Personally, if resources are limited I would just sand it down a tad until it fits. Play with the hole enough and eventually it'll widen up
