  1. main reason for the 1.5cuft and 35hz is cause thats what rusty recommended to me and all for optimal daily output
  2. yea i think i am around 1200 to 1400 rms right now but in a 1.5ish cuft box at 35hz which is what was recommended to me by rusty. i have been thinking about the sundown 1200 but may look into the 1500 i know if i decide to get a second woofer next season im going to be strapping a matching pair of amps to them but i am buying everything 1 step at a time do to funds
  3. no pics yet im going to wait til after i rebuild my box it was my first attempt and i rushed it and its not very pretty but it works for now. i am in the process of thinking about the new design to make it a little more show quality for next year. i currently have around 1400 watts going to mine and it loves it and i think it could take more so i am upgrading amps at tax time lol. i am going to take some pics of the build next time i do the box. i have the one 12 in a 1.5cuft box at around 35 hertz and it hits so hard that my roof sounds like a gong when i hit the pause button and it shakes back into place lol i am going to get a vid one night and then start finding some good sound deadner to fill every void of my truck to seal it up mostly in my roof
  4. Ok guys I am trying to get ideas for a new amp come tax time if not my christmas present to myself. I was looking on ebay and came across the sundown sax-1200 what is the difference between it and the sae-1200? I am also tossing around the idea of a aq1200 or maybe something else I want something that is going to beat the hell out of my twelve with out blowing it or cooking itself in the process. I currently have a alphasonik rated at 1800rms but its probably more like 1400 or so. what is the most power I could safely throw at the woofer and all for a daily beater? My box is 1.5 cubic footish tuned to around 35hz if that helps or matters
  5. yeah i think im going to do the 1200 since with the right voltage they produce almost 1600 watts rms
  6. thanks my current amp is set up the same way and my ground likes to shake loose every month or so lol. when i order a new amp i am going to get a few of those
  7. my box is double baffled, braced and 45d at the corners and glassed at every joint except the top and that's where it decided to push apart at. will the lvl4 hold a saz-1500 i was looking into the sax-1200
  8. i am looking at the sax-1200d and I was wondering if since it has 4guage inputs and I am currently running 0 gauge do to melting the 4 gauge i had on my current amp what the best way to connect the 0 gauge wire to the 4 gauge inputs is.
  9. I have had my lvl 4 for about 2 months now and that thing is blowing me away it surprises people that I only have one 12 in my truck and this thing blows my 2 12s i had in a prefab box out of the water on the same Alphasonik PMA600hca. I am thinking about rebuilding my box and going a little thicker on the wood cause I have developed a leak or two in my current box lol. Next thing on my list is to upgrade my electrical and maybe switch to a different amp I'm just not sure what I want to switch to though cause I am looking to push about 1400rms to the sub on a daily basis like I do now. So to update I am loving my dc sub
