You could go with 2 4" pvc ports between the subs but not sure if its enough port area for those subs, will this box be sealed from the trunk?
The reason i ask is you can port off axis firing from the side into the trunk.
dont know what you said bro
-
I'm not sure... i always over power my subs lol
im feedin about 450-500 rms each to my sa 12s which are underrated and can probably take 1k each and still be fine, but im not guna risk anything. Im guna build a box with zero common walls and ill let you know if 3 is the lucky number
-
yes use about 2.25 ft^3 per sub with lower levels
EDIT: or less
does it hurt the sq by any chance or whats the problem with more cubic feet
-
this is the best you'd get idk if the port area is too small tho, 36.75in^2
sorry the port is two wide. The only way we are going to have to build is to fit the triangle from our back seats to get the extra area so basically we will build it with one common wall,
just a question is more cu per sub better if you are under powering a sub?

Here fur all u who dont understand why it wont work
-
i just wasted 3 minutes of my life drawing a picture but il post it anyway for the others who dont understand wtf im talking ABOUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT FUCK!!! haha
-
why the hell wont that work? It's in the dimensions you gave? Tape measure faill??
think about the how the box is going to be put together
-
kranny to the rescue...again.
im afraid that wont work because of the 3/4inch you need on the left side of the port then the 3/4 inche side you need on the right side of the port then a 1/2 inch for good measure distance between the two subs and then the 3/4 you need from the other end your port width is not guna be more then 2 i can guarantee it, failed on my first box when the port was suppose to be 3 but it wouldnt fit

Is it even possible to make a box for 2 SA 12's tuned between 33-35hz with a net volume of 3.5ish with a maximum of H 13.75 W 30 D 26.5
Built to boxes, and they are now junk because they are tuned way off or to big. Any help is appreciated.

I'll post my grade when the teacher corrects it:)

Couple more suggestions in red as well. I personally would reword some stuff for clarity but it's your essay not mine, lol. Other than that I personally am against using pretty much false information in essays but unfortunately essays like this and the ones you based yours off of feel the need to use scare tactics. I won't go into what Im referring to since file sharing is against forum rules but im sure its pretty obvious what im referring to.... lol
Thank you very much
BTW the teacher made me do this article so yea, Im stuck with it. I know what you mean, Im the same way

2 minutes after you posted
the red is some stuff...most of it i didnt highlight but already fixed
Thank you for you help!

I think I still need an appeal to ethics/reason
Online Music Piracy
Would you ever steal from a store, perhaps a CD from your favorite artist? If the answer is no then you should never pirate music online. Did you know that downloading and uploading copyrighted material is illegal? Eighty Seven percent of the music on peer to peer network are infringing material.(Oppenheim 2) Which makes it extremely hard to download a something legal. People who distribute copyrighted material can face criminal charges. “It is without a doubt the most important issue affecting the music industry today (Oppenheim 1).
Music industry’s sales were down 11 percent in 2002 because of the use of peer to peer networks was increasing. (Oppenheim 1) If you like the artist’s music wouldn’t you buy the song so in the future they will produce more music? Peer to peer networks distribute millions of music files a day which is a serious threat to entertainment industries. (Hatch 1) “The architects of this file-sharing piracy make millions of dollars while attempting to avoid any personal risk of the severe and criminal penalties for copyright infringement” (Hatch 1). After someone downloads a music file, or any file the program automatically uploads it to their network, which makes them a distributer. It is almost impossible for the average computer user to disable this “feature” in program. (Hatch 2) Would you risk the chance of criminal liability just for a song? Some programs force you to upload every media file on your computer. (Hatch 2) Many people who use peer to peer networks encourage their friends to do the same, making the music industry and other companies suffer more.
Some want to keep peer to peer networks because it gives the artist another outlet to distribute their music. This only hurts the artist because the artist does not make any profit. You should not use peer to peer networks to download copyrighted material because it hurts the artist, music companies, cd plant workers, and the economy. If you don’t have the money to pay for the song, its probably on the radio playing every once every 10 minutes. If you like listening to music, then support your favorite artist(s) by paying for their music. There is many different places and programs that you can pay the artist for their music such as: iTunes, Zune, Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and many others.

I herd if you push down really hard on the cone and then pull it up really far (repeat for 20 minutes) it really works, after this process your woofer will be as loose as a hooker! shits just slappin everywhere. LOL

You have too much port area. I think you want 3 port walls for an "L" port
no i dont want an L port and the port area is fine
-
Hows this for a box eh???
-
The JL site does say otherwise. JL says physical is the measurement down the middle. Doesn't mean they are right though.
So I would want to build it to fit the physical port length right? the 30inches doesn't matter or is that the effective port length?
-
Paint skillz...
i believe its the other way around. according to that jl audio link port length is the actual wood
-
If I understand correctly, the physical port length is less important than the port length. I assume that port length is the same as effective port length.
Well I need to know which one to build it by. Port length or physical port length. It cannot have both and what about end correction?
Is this even possible? Box Building

thanks for trying, but why does everyone think that 3 common walls is the best? its no different sound then any others we are probably going to build it with no common wall
