  1. ehh a 12V battery will put out 14.4 volts. With that amp, I don't see how you will get the full 1200 volts, but as impractical as you think the Big 3 is, you need to really consider it if you want your set up to put out more power. Another battery will help, but you should do the Big 3 first and foremost.

my problem with the big 3 is how the hell will i get my wire to the alt when the battery is in the back?

  2. bass boost: boosts a certain frequency (sometimes variable) I NEVER use bass boost on my amp because it usually adds distortion (only sometimes on my hu if the song severely lacks in bass and i want to add a bit more when my sub level is at max on my hu and i know its not clipping) subwoofer level boosts/cuts the gain for the entire frequency range that the subwoofer is operating at.

thank you for clearing that up

  3. Alright, so here the scoop. I have 2 SA 12's hooked up to a AQ1200D at 1 ohm in a ported box tuned between 36 - 37hz. Atm the subwoofer level is at zero on the hu along with all the other bass levels. On the amp the bass boost is at max and the remote is at max. The Gain is set so it wont clip as long as i don't turn the hu over volume lvl 25. It shakes my car but im wanting a little more. What is better bass boost or subwoofer level. I have a Kenwood KDCmp345u. Thanks!

  4. uhh kenwood? k so it has a sub level control. put that to +15. put bass to 0 and BB/L (bassboost level) to off/0. turn bassboost the fuck off on the amp. kenwoods clip the preouts at about volume 34 so if you DONT have speakers running off the headunit retune gains to volume 34.

edit: oh also stop explaining that way. pics are better.

did you wire it like that or what

yea all the negatives together and all the positives together.

  5. @ OP and this guy, your most likly wired wrong

ok... well tell me if this is wrong. on one sub i wired both -'s together and i wired the +'s together and also the same with the other sub. Then after i took the -'s from both subs and wired them all together and did the same with the +'s. then on the amp i have 2 -'s and 2 +'s does it matter which i put them in as long as the - goes to the - and + goes to the +? thanks

  6. Guys stop being mean to the guy, damn the elitist shit gets carried away, he's obviously stupid we all know that... LOL just messing but bro seriously need more information. We need to know EVERYTHING pictures help too. Are these brand new, have you tested the Voice Coils by reading the speaker terminals with a DMM @ ohms? Coulda be a faulty amplifier/woofers or something easy that you havn't figured out, is the headunit SW settings turned ON?

gain was turned all the way down.... lol FUCK THAT

  7. My subs arent working i have 2 12' sundowns dual 4 ohm dvc wired to 1 ohm but my amp is a audioque 1200D and has two positives and negative connections we tested the rcas, the amp, the remote and everything on the dash is correct so wtf could it be? The amp turns on and has 12 volts being fed into it its grounded and everything. maybe my wiring is wrong? it goes on one sub is - to - twisted together then the other sub its - to - twisted together then both of those negatives are twisted together. same thing with the +'s heres the video we copied exactly

    sorry any help is appreciated
