My first real sound was back in 86-87 with a Sparkomatic 40w booster on a pair of Fisher 10" cabinet speakers in my 77 280z

Nevermind, I feel like a Dumbass. lol

I have the 10/22 in an achangle kit with A2 style sights and to be honest I wish I would of gone with the S&W M&P 15-22 because the archangle kit looks and feels so cheap and its a pain to take it out of the kit to field strip it and clean it
OP if you can get the S&W get the instead
Germans would label the weapon as weapon of war just because of the appearance. That is why I have decided on the 10/22 in stock form to get it here then I can modify till the cows come home.

be very careful about this make sure when she does her paperwork on it she mentions its a GIFT for you. It could otherwise be called an attempted straw purchase. you dont want that.
Yes, good to go on that. she can also list it as an inheritance. She still has 2 of my shotguns hostage at the moment as well. lol
Since you want an AR.. Can you get a Smith & Wesson MP15 22? Its an AR15 that shoots a .22Long round? Would they consider that to be a "weapon of war"... I have on and its fun to shoot.
My dad shooting S&W AR15 22
i like your thinking but all I need is a Archangel kit for the 10-22 and I have a SR22. (already have the plan;))

im working on one. Its an AR though lol
Your AR will probably be cheaper than my 10/22. Dealer quoted $605 for the stainless target model with bull barrel. It will save me 200+ in the long run not having to buy and ship the barrel later.
605? ouch...seen for 375 here BNIB...but I like to buy the plain jane 199 10/22 and then add gooides as I see fit, with just a properly bedded stock, a free floated barrel, a decent optic and some decent ammo, my first 10/22 would shoot the centers out of quarters at 100yds with ease. great little rifles that are fun and piss cheap to shoot alot.
Yep, ouch.. My Mom is actually looking for one cheaper in Florida for me. Once she finds it and buys it I can add it to my Weapons card here in Germany and then she can simply send it through the post office to me.

Ok I was looking into getting an AR for occasional shooting and a gun safe queen but the Germans charge you about $3k for a basic model AR and even once you purchase it you may not be able to keep it because it is considered a "weapon of war" So I started thinking of a cheap, fun to shoot alternative.. Ruger 10/22 I decided.
I was looking for a bull barrel gun and thought about how easy it will be to build my own gun to my specs. So I decided to build one in an Archangel stock kit with a Shooter's Ridge fluted bull barrel. It will still take a month or 2 to have it added to my German weapons card but once I find one I can start buying parts!
Anyone else have a custom plinker?

I have caught many with a 12gauge, shovel, boat paddle and just plain old rocks but none with my hands. guess they are too quickly dead for me to catch them alive.

Bought a new SMD DD-1 from him. Perfect condition and well packed.
Overall a great guy to deal with!
Thanks man!

I had a g&s competition 700. What a beast! They are the model number in watts at 4 ohm. They are 2 ohm stable but NOT bridge able. Look for almost double the power at 2 ohms. I also contacted PPI about them in the day and they did not have any other info on them.
I still regret selling my 700..

I'm gonna take you back like a punch 45 and an alpine 2 shaft cassette deck
I like that I wonder how many people have used 2 shaft players. This really makes ya think how far tech has really come ome good some bad. I wonder what will be instore for the next 20 or so years. IMO one of the best things to come out that I wish we had back in the day. Is Steves' Destortion Detector that would have made a big difference in installs back in the day. Where was you back then Steve you could have made it for us then LOL.
Also remember when I discovered the shafts were adjustable it made things much easier!!

I was thinking, some of us old timers have some real nice classic audio collections dating back 20-30 years. Let's play a game, match the birth year with some of the younger members. If you are under 30 post your birth year and we can try to match up a piece of or collection built the same year. Any takers?
Could be a good chance to post up some great classic audio gear.

If you send me a Pm on the forum about your animals and what is going wrong with them i can consult her for you and get some input
No pets as of now. We do have a cat trying to adopt us at the moment but we have TRIED to stay pet free for the last few years because of our work schedule.
Many thanks for the offer though!

Well my g/f has a masters degree in Animal Nutrition... She paid for her degree on her own dime... You are correct though Most Vet Techs have like 8hrs of total nutritional training... But my g/f soon to be wife has 4.5years of schooling PLUS 3 years on the job experience in the Vet field
Good stuff
I hope she is one of the few that actually gives good advice and can keep some of our pups healthy. The Science diet and Iams guys are not doing it.. Science diet RD (for heavier dogs) is 90% peanut shells. the rest is added flavors and the poor dogs are starved for nutrition. The end up with no energy, skin diseases, etc.
BUUUT Vets reccomend it so it MUST be good...

My shepherd LOVES the scraps that i cooked up for her lol... so NOTHING from the deer really went
My brother always said never give the liver to the dogs.....any truth to that?
The deer is being turned into Brisket,Roast,Jerky and Steak.... As far as the liver thing there is nothing wrong with givign a dog deer parts as long as they are thoroughly cooked... That information came from my g/f who is a liscensed Vet. Technician
From what I have heard (may be completely false) Vets get about 2 hours the entire time they are in school about animal nutrition and normally is is sponsored by Iams or Sceince diet. Reat up on the B.A.R.F. Diet. want a healthy pet, feed them raw foods. Vet told me my Golden Retriever had about 6 months to live, I changed his diet to B.A.R.F. and had him for an additional 6 wonderful years.

You really can't remember what you got a felony conviction for? wow.

Thanks Steve! I just found a buyer for the amp I was going to list so it is all good.

I was always taught, if you don't have something nice to say.... I visit all the time to collect knowledge but I try not to comment most of the time because many of the younger members would think I am an A$$.. There are just so many young people that really do not know what a true Audiophile is but think they are one (or the little hoodlums that post sometimes that just need a boot in the a$$..)
So, I have been here for a long time, I am a nice guy, so I don't post.

You need 150. I have been a member since 07 and have less than 60 posts..
Term lab question for Steve.
