  1. SO this dude thinks he is louder than me. Is the way they start their threads...

Guys, unless you are sitting in the lanes with a meter attached, who gives a fawk if a dude with some Sony subs thinks he is louder than you.. really some of the threads on here are pathetic.

Or if your system will be louder when you get XX brand subs or XX brand amps.. If you don't have them.. you don't have jack. What is the point of your arguments? "some day you will be louder" and once again WHO cares?

I have been in car audio for over 20 years and I hear things like the above so much it just drives me mad. If you are happy with your install/equipment then cool but the "bench bass racing" is pathetic.

Now I am not knocking anyone posting up a nice build because we all want to see them, quality install are like art. But, the high school parking lot stories have to end...

Sorry if this seems like a rant... but it is...

Oh, and how do you know if it is you that I am talking about?

Look for the old "cool story bro".

  2. so just buy some epoxy, take out that top plate, sand any glue or something that was used to keep the top plate and the magnet together, have a reference point to center the top plate, put epoxy on both the top plate and the magnet, and let it dry for a day. is that pretty much i got to do?

    in layman terms, Yes!

Hardest part is getting the top plate off in my opinion. sanding is not a good idea though, scrape it clean with a razor blade.

  3. That is a 10-15 minute job to fix. I did it on one of my HX2 motors. Pull the top plate off, clean both sides, build an alignment tool (Card board tubes sliced and layered work great), epoxy or good CA glue. Once the glue is on the magnet, lower the top plate in place using the alignment tool already in the gap. Let it dry for 24 hours or so. Motor is ready to rock again.. (make sure to keep the ca glue off of the alignment tool though as it will be a bitch to pull out if it is glued in place!

  4. I have a Mini Cooper S with a DD SS1a on a Custom Team PSI 10 in a stealth style install. I am about to do a box with 4 custom built 12 spoke 10" HX2's on a T15001-bd as well.

Sorry but the board won't allow me to link my pics from another site where I have them.

  5. I got stopped for not using my turn signal and found out my license had expired. Just a brain fart, my fault but not on purpose.

I see your location is Schweinfurt, if it is still, You commander can do an ETP to allow you "limited Driving" such as to Appts, place of worship, home and iff you live off post they can allow you to drive to and from work. Was it your USAREUR certificate that was expired or your stateside license? If it is your stateside license, Most states are valid until you return to the state after your military service. (I wish it was that nice for Civilians working for the military also)

  6. Lets just say that Army MP's are douche bags and think they are on a higher level, especially the new ones with no rank.

Why, did they break the law or did you? Are you just pissed at them for catching you doing something? I don't know your situation but I hate when people blame others when they screw up. If you screwed up then take the punishment and learn from it.. I have seen too many times when someone gets let off for something and don't learn from it and screw up even worse (people get killed or hurt)..

    Deal with it man.

  7. sounds like hell.. ^^

hermes shipped 25 kilos for about 9 euro.

kannst du mir noch die ausmaße nennen, die das packet c.a. haben wird, dann such ich einen günstigen versand raus ?!... ich bin wirklich sehr interessiert an dem woofer...

I will need to find a box for it. I hope I still have one.

as long as you pay the shipping I will ship it however you want me to :):drinks:

  8. its an 12" toxic woofer in a 72l bassreflex box powered by a sinus live sl-a 1500 with 560w rms @ 4ohm. the sub can only handle 500w rms.

    greetz

    @ david in germany :

ich habe einen 12" toxic in einer 72l bassreflex box. -> http://www.hifi-music.de/shop/bilder/produ...ross/1343_1.jpg

Versand wäre aber gut, da ich aus Potsdam komme. Wo kommst du her???

    Viell komme ich ihn abholen...

    mfg

I live in Mannheim. It weighs 14 kilo without packaging so at least 15 kilo packaged So that would probably be expensive too. A drive from Potsdam would cost quite a bit more though.

The BL would make the toxic sound like a midrange..

Nick at FI told me I should shoot for between 1200-1500 watts for it to "really get it going"

  9. hello,

Thank you for your offer, I consider it to me whether I suppose .. Please give me 2 weeks time to think..

*wenn du aus Deutschland bist, können wir uns auch in deutsch unterhalten ;)

does the bl 10" have more power then my "old" 12" woofer??

    watch:

I can speak German MUCH better than I can type it! Was fur eine woofer has du jetz?

I have never even powered the BL yet because I was going to use it in my new car when it arrives (mid December) but it needs too much airspace for my needs.

You have plenty of time to think about it. Where are you in Germany, the BL's weigh a ton so it would be better not to ship it through the Deutch Post!
