  1. it really depends on your setup and the enclosure. the BTLs can really take a beating and sound beautiful while getting down. one AQ3500 per 18 will be great, but there are a lot of factors to consider. if youre new, id suggest just running the AQ3500 per sub at 1 ohm. and make sure you have the electrical to back it up.

i personally run my BTLs at 2000 per coil daily. most ive ever run was 2500 watts per coil and i loved it but a little too much for me.

Yea with the electrical Im actually getting that all setup before I even think about putting those amps in my truck, I was gone run 2 mechmans 270a with a xs under the hood and 3 xs D3100 in the back, and your prob right I need to just run them at 1ohm until I know for sure. Still you said you are running 2000 per coil, I might not be a pro at audio but I damn sure know what that means. If you doing that then I know yes they can handle the AQ3500 per sub no problem.

  2. Ok I was looking at the FI BTL's 18" and according to everyone they can handle way more than 2000rms watts, does anyone know exactly how much they can handle. I also looking over the specs of the AQ3500.1 and I see that at 1 ohm they do about 4300. Im assuming this is peak, does anyone know what it does rms wise at that load, because now Im starting to realize that if those subs can handle way more than 2000rms, like the guy mentioned on the post earlier I could possibly run one AQ3500.1 to each BTL, and probably at .5ohm load as well. Tell me what you all think about that setup and if these subs can handle that much power individually.

  3. Ok well so far I havent heard anything bad about the AQ not to mention, as most of you know, its cheaper especially for the power it puts out.... SO I have made a decision to get the AQ5300.1 but I am still going to get the 2 18"BTL's instead of one. I want to run them on the amp at possibly .5ohm. So does anyone think that these subs will be able to handle that amp pushing them at a .5ohm load. If not then I will just get the subs at a dual 2ohm and just drop them to 1ohm, if its safe then I will get them at dual 1ohm.

Also does anyone know another place I can buy the AQ besides their website, like where can I get it the cheapest?

  4. What was your old system like if ya don't mind me asking?

You could do the 2 - 18" BTL's on a pair of saz3500's, AQ 3500's, crescendo 3k's or some other high powered amps. There is a lot to choose from and a ton of options to go with, but for starters i would atleast have a nice bank of batteries and a good 300a alt as a start and go from there and see how things work out.

My old system I ran 2 re mx, and 2 ma audio 2000d, I went to a local shop and had my alt rewound and had 2 kinetic batts a 1800 and 1400. That actually sounded really good and they were set up in a 2006 monte carlo, but I do understand what you mean by letting the power ppl know how much power I will be running then they will be able to tell me exactly what I need.

  5. i would honestly sit back and then rethink your whole setup. i mean, the MA audio amp is completely inefficient and i believe the 10000 watts is peak at like 18 volts. and you obviously dont have the know how for the setup. its a daily driver, so why not something smaller, and closer to the RMS ratings for the subs. of course the subs can take much more, but for reliability youre safer playing it safe.

what kind of vehicle are these going in? why not do two AQ2200 per BTL? sounds legit, especially for a daily setup.

They are going in a 2005 tahoe, and for the AQ2200 would that be the best setup for the subs? I mean is there something better I can get besides having to get, I think you said 2 for each sub so that would be 4 amps. Also what iraggi alts will be good for this should I get one or two, and as for the power the 270xp would be good for this alone or would I need another batt?

  6. I am actually starting off fresh again into the subwoofer life, havent done anything in a while. So im in need of some advice, I was thinking about running 2 18" BTL's pushed by a MA Audio 10K amp. If anyone could tell me would this be a good set up to run, just want it for daily use nothing special. What type of alts should use so that I get the max output at idle? Should I run more than one alt with this setup? What would be the best type of batts to have as well with the setup. So if anyone has some good professional info that could help me in finalizing my decision I would greatly appreciate it.
