crutchfield is the best place for research and one of the worst to buy from.
They do have good service, but they are a little pricey

lol Alpine is kicken it ol school, no Pioneer has rear USB these days, and pretty much all thier units look like complete shit.
JVC or JVC arsenal if your looking for USB front and back.
The one I posted a few posts ago looked really good I think, but overall, I agree.
-
I'm just a little rusty on head units, all the installs I have done for people lately I have used an AVIC and I have a PC in my car.

I'm looking at this, and it says only front usb. Is it true? And no I'm not buying it here.

That's strange, Explorer quit working on me for this site and I had to DL firefox.
-
some of sony's stuff have it in the back aswell
But they are ugly and they suck.
-
poineer has the i pod connection in the back as well
they just have a front one as well for usb sticks and what not
REALLY? I will have to look closer. That would be the shit, I like the idea of an extra in front just in case you want to use a thumb drive or something.
-
Kenwood also has rear USB.
I'm with you, I can't fucking stand from USB, wires hanging out everywhere.
Yeah, It's so lazy and ghetto looking. Pioneer will just have to lose some business.
-
I see kenwood has some too. I should just glass in a Double din but I don't think he wants to pay enough for that.
-
Looking for a single din head unit for a sentra project I'm about to start, and every pioneer unit I look at has the usb/ipod control on the front. I'm not installing something that has wires hangin out the front like some lazy fuckin slacker. I use pioneer almost exclusively, now I don't know what to use.

Just get a PS3, they don't discriminate, Sony fucks all their users at the same time.
-
If you park in a garage I say go. If not, forget about it. either way viper does kick ass, I recommend it.

The prime rule I live by in car audio... decide what you want, the quality you want, and save like a mofo. In the end you will be happy you bought what you wanted instead of replacing everything later and trying to sell your junk off at a loss.

will do, it's dirty as shit now, the weather is shit over here. As soon as I get off my butt and wash and wax it I'll get some pics.
-
It was a 4 disk cd changer. I moved the hvac controls to where it was.
-
I ended up cutting it up in the middle and restarting, then after I painted it the first time I had to sand it down to fix a flaw I didn't see with the primer on it. Now I want to do more.
Thanks for all the comments everybody.

a couple more pics, of test fitting and pretty much the only one I have of the car itself.
-
Thanks, I worked my ass off on the thing. it's not perfect, but I guess that's how you learn.
I'll work on getting a vid soon. Oh, and I am running Crescendo components off a sundown 100.4, and I just got a CA 2000BC and will most likely run another when I get back to the states where I can get some subs.

So this is my first glass job done all by myself, I was always afraid to do it. The car is a 300 M, I put a computer in as my head unit it has a dual core processor, 4 gigs of ram, hdmi output, 40 gig solid state drive running win 7, and a external 500 gig for music and whatnot. It's all hooked to a 8 inch touch screen and a clarion EQ till I decide on a processor and finish the system.
Here is what it looked like (not my car but it looked like this)
and now
