  1. I know how you feel Fish, that was me a few years ago I was 45 then and the 5 roommates I had was mid 20’s as well. I think it the first time away from there moms following them to clean up after them so they do what they want. And many have not learned respect yet still learning what there freedom is on there own. It is a experience having roommates with a large age gap.

Cloths left in the washer or dryer and no one appears to be keeping a eye on there cloths would end up on the floor or shoved behind the washer/dryer.

  2. Ok now I'm gettin confused lol

Let see if I can help or make it really confusing.

Is it really impedance rise or a impedance curve? Does the impedance rise and stay at that value there during system playback or does it fluctuate based on frequency played? In theory it is impedance curve as the motor travels through it range of motion to reproduce the signal sent to the speaker its value will change as the frequency changes. With the resonant frequency being the highest of this curve in a free air measurement.

In a daily system the impedance curve comes with the music playback territory and the different alignments you place your speaker into will have its own effect. Sealed, ported, bandpass enclosures all try to reproduce the music signal into sound waves for us to enjoy and whatever levels we choose, lol. But like others have said a good enclosure designer/builder can take all the variables for your install and come up with a good solution.

Impedance curve can not be viewed with a single meter it will take at least two meters and a disk of test tones. Take some readings at different frequencies (20- 80 hz.) and calculate the actual impedance. If you have easy access to your amp that is powering your subs and a DMM set it for AC voltage and read your output voltage (+ & -) from your amp during some music and you will see a glimpse of your sub working to produce different frequencies as the voltage fluctuates.

  3. If you have a T1500bdcp already pick up another one and gain match the amps and use one amp for each coil without having to strap the amps. Depends on what your Lvl 5 coil configuration is currently with D1, D1.5 or D2 should work with one T1500 on each coil. Use the pass through port RCA from one T1500 to the second T1500.

Not sure if Meade amps are strapped, I thought he was using the master/slave function on his T2500 to make adjustments to the first amp and that will control the slave amps as well. And I thought Steve had each T2500 amp dedicated to a coil on the subs. Will have to go back and read his build log.

Have fun man and time to wake up that Lvl 5 with either amp route you choose.

  4. One Idea could be with this configuration that stock alternator has an internal voltage regulator tied into the ECU for the engine, my mazda has this setup and HO alternators or a higher voltage can end up damaging the ECU. Also in the configuration the second alternator can be a higher amperage (as shown) and adjustable voltage output for just the audio amps. The higher voltage will not damage any of the stock electrical using the isolator. Or could be a way of not breaking the vehicle warranty since you are adding a separate alternator and batteries for your car audio needs and not modifying the factor electrical system...

  5. ive had this ride 8 years bro (the Tahoe), i deserve something new......especially since im on the brink of paying my child support off! I pro-rated my last payment out to $66 bucks to be paid next friday :D and then im done, thats my treat for 18 yrs of child support without missing a payment :) Its not 100% set in stone, like i said, im gonna rest on it and see tomorrow.

I know how you feel this is my last month of child support so $1000 a month raise for me and time to pay some bills off. Can't go wrong with a Lexus you deserve it...

  6. anyone have a apple macbook and think I should know anything before i get it? any major flaws to look out for and so on. thanks

Hows it going I have using mac's for a few years, I use a macbook pro one of the things you may add is Firefox. Safari has had some problems viewing SMD, displaying the pics or graphics. I have not had the hard-drive problems reported, have fun sounds like good machine I am going to be upgrading soon as well.
