  1. i think you might want more than 60 amps too. are you planning on testing amps?

I used to work for best buy as an installer and i built the test bench there. We had a remodel and took out the "boom room" thus giving us a couple extra power supplies(80 amps - 4 gauge out to a distribution center). It was a very useful and working setup, now i'm going to make one for myself. We had a rockford 1000bd hooked to it and we could run pretty much anything we needed. We could demo a set of subs in a car by just running some long speaker wire. Customers liked it so they new about what they were getting before the purchase.

  2. I just joined a few days ago and figured i'd introduce myself. My names Brandon i'm from indiana. I worked as an installer at a shop for about 2 years then i moved to a bodyshop. I've had my fair share of subs but now i'm down to just one. Never had it metered. Here is what i got, couple vids at the bottom.

Stock Alternator (for now about to pick up a mechman one)

Pioneer 6000ub headunit with portable hardrive

    4 gauge wire

6 farad Cap (about to get rid of these)

    Red Top upfront

Kinetic 2000 (hooking up when i get my alternator)

    Fusion Jonah Lomu 1211d Amplifier

TC9+ 15" sub, its got some goodies

Box built to 32htz if i remember right

Rattle Trap and Rammat on the whole car

Ok???? let me guess you think i'm a 16 year old kid who thinks his car is fast.

I have a supercharged engine and now i'm going to be so much slower by putting in a HO alternator?

    Here ya go: :noob:

  4. Our 270 is actually a late model large case unit. We machine down a custom rotor to fit in that housing to boost the idle output to 165 amps. Because of the costly rectifier, rotor, hand wound stator, and machine time, $399 shipped is as low as we can go. It really wouldn't make sense offering a lower output than that, considering the cost of the parts.

Will it fit behind the supercharger?

  5. That's probably the cheapest good alternator you can find new. If you think that's expensive, ask DC Power or Iraggi (if they come back) for a quote. You'll think Mechman is a great price.

I don't mean to sound like a douchebag, I'm just speaking the truth

Its cool man i understand, i'm looking at another by excessive amperage they had a 225 amp for $385. my budget was 350 so maybe they could do a 250 amp for 350 maybe?
