Hi Just planning out my port for my two level 5 18s. Just wondering what port area and tuning the level 5s like? I want it to play flat from 20hz to 50hz... and shift masses of air (hair tricks ect). Also thinking of running them in 15cuft.... is this too big? Also aiming for big numbers. Power is 4 sundown 1500Ds @ 0.7ohm Cheers fellas.

Hi guys. Need to know the thiele small parameters of the dc level 5 18" so I can use bass box pro. I'm sure I read somewhere that they were never tested....? If so what other sub would come close to the lv5? Cheers guys.

Great.... I didn't want to be using two bass knobs. Thanks sundownz. I only ask because I had two vibe amps that could be strapped like 4 times but powering 4 loads so only the need to set one amp up.

Hi guys, Got myself a new power supply, just wondering how it would hold up running at 0.35dcr per 1500? I've got myself a 180a alt and 6 6v Chloride agm gel 100ah batteries, wired in series for 12v.

That would mean to tune to 30hz 38" x 5" my port would be 40" long..... the dc distributor for the UK has recommended between 8sq" and 10sq" per cubic foot...

Would the enclosure depend on how long they play before they get warm? Planning 5.5cuft each tuned to 30hz with 8sq" of port area per cuft. Planning to do a sort of half clam shell sort of design

Cheers guys..... not a lot of people over in the UK using lv5s. If someone wired one 1500d per coil unstrapped, could there be a possibility that they would get hot very quick? It is possible the amps weren't matched perfectly also.

What sort of play time would I have? 2 songs before they get warm?

Will the level 5s take two sundown 1500D's strapped @ 1.4ohm daily? Many people in the UK telling me they wont take it.... but I know you guys put a Hell of a load of power through them daily. Cheers dudes!

Hi Would I have to change my standard starting battery to an agm battery if I am using two d3100 in the rear? Surely if my standard battery floats at 12.8 and an agm floats at 13.2, the agm batteries would be drained by the starting battery. Would a split charge solve this?

What power supply do you suggest? With rise the amps will see over 1 ohm most of their lives.

Thanks guys Ill just be running them at 1.4ohm each untill I get the other two which will see 0.7ohm each. Power supply wont be staying at 1 d3100 and 120a alt.... ill be adding another d3100 and 210a alt with external regulator. Been told one these xs power d3100 can power 3k....???

Hi all, New to this forum and From the UK I have myself a saz-1500D powering 4 jbls at them moment but Ive got two DC level 5 18's ready to go in once I have the power to get them moving. The lv 5's I have are dual 0.7ohm... plan is to run 4 saz-1500D's, strapped @ 1.4ohm per pair. Ive been thinking about bringing the build forward and starting next month instead of january/febuary but I would only be using two saz-1500D's untill I got the cash for another two... My question is would I be ok running the amps at 0.35 ohm each? My power supply is not as strong as your big american cars, the car is a lupo 1.4tdi, I Have a 120a alternator, Ill be using one XS power d3100 for now. Or would I be safer to use them 1.4ohm per amp? what sort of power do they do at 1.4ohm? Thanks guys.
