  1. If you wanna be sneaky i suggest you put the N20 bottle INSIDE the woofer box, and have a removable backing when your bottle empties out, and you can put your arm/purge/go buttons in the ashtray, just make a sheet metal plate that would fit in there. thats IF you want to be sneaky with the setup. a friend of mine is running a 100 shot on his SRT-8 300C and its making mid 12 sec passes in the quarter. Good luck! :drinks:

  2. How in the hell do i "Unzip" the folder?! I'm trying to extract the files and it wont let me, it has some type of block on it. Please help!! I'm a :noob:

I use WinRar. I use XP though.

If you're on either Vista or Windows 7, you need to enter an administrators password. If you're on XP, check to see if you aren't an "admin" and have restricted access.

If you're on Mac, I can't help you.

I Just downloaded WinRar, now what do i have to do?? I have no general knowlege of using programs like this.

  3. that amp only outputs like 120rms at 4 ohms on the sub side if im reading it right. that is practically like half of what the woofer can handle. also i would think about upgrading to 4 gauge. the amp has 4 gauge for a reason.

Ahh i see what ur saying, ive got some 4 gauge laying around so i might upgrade to that and see what else i can do, i really should get a friggin job and step up on wattage with a rockford amp or something like that, i need something that hits, i used to have two 10's in it but one of them blew for some reason, its great how i get help on something that we all like to mess with.

    :good:

thats how my amp is, just so you get a little better idea on how im running eveything up, I might post pics of the system when i get the quarter panel fixed on it so its internet presentable. And the sub is 400 watts but i think it peaks out around 500-500 watts

i dont understand. you have it wired like what? theres like 9001 different diagrams in that PDF. and i dont understand how its a 4 channel when its got a subwoofer channel as well as 4 channels.

the woofer is 500w peak, which doesnt mean anything, keep that in mind forever. its 250rms.

For the Sub channel i wired mono-one to one coil and mono-two to the other coil.

thats what i meant that theres 4 channels but a seperate channel for the sub, and im gonna get

the mids/highs wired too when i have a chance.

  6. Its a 4 channel but a separate channel for the woofers and im running it to both coils that are built in the woofer, believe me it slaps, but im just thinking either to just redo it and get a monoblock or get another amp seperate for the woofer

i did that a while back, i didnt like the results since you have to match both channels absolutely PERFECTLY or else the voice coils will fight each other. in my honest opinion, buy a monoblock amp strictly for the woofer and save the 4 channel for your car speakers.

  7. Better amp. Class D mono block

i dont think they make 250rms class d's. just saying

to the OP, heres a nice amp you can use, generally you dont want to run a 4 channel to a subwoofer, since its primary design is for actual speakers and not subwoofers

600rms at 4 ohms, which i assume your woofer is 4 ohms. just MAKE SURE to tune your gains so the amp doesnt overpower the subwoofer or else bad things may happen. for that little power you dont need any alternator or battery upgrades.

  8. Okay i'm new to the site. So gimme a little slack

I have a 2001 jeep cherokee sport and im running a orion cobalt 12" woofer

running off a soundstream reference 405 4 channel amp with 8 gauge power wire and stock alt.

What would be the best way to set everything up? i'm wanting to run more power

but money is sorta tight cus of christmas, should i get a bigger alternator? Bigger

power wire? Better woofer? What should i do????
