  1. Ok, Not ever sure what to say here, but, I have a friend who had someone install his system today (Xplod Amp and 10inch bazooka sub) and it has been extremely wierd ever since.

Here is the list of things that I just can't seem to find an answer for.

So, Sometimes the bass is going good (As good as that setup will do) and then it like, dies down a bit with out even changing the volume or nothing.

Also, for some reason, changing the BAL on his head unit make the bass get louder..

Now, the guy couldn't get the head unit out so he tapped into the rear speakers to make the connection or something. (He's very confusing)

And now, his set up just turned off completely.. He said he was driving, and then it just stopped working. The amp isn't even on anymore. Not sure of all the info.

    Any help is great.

  2. Hey All,

Just seeing if I have any fellow Burn Notice followers. I have been watching this show religiously ever since the first episode and I can never seem to get enough of it. Season Finale was tonight and it was so fuckin bomb. For those of you who have never heard of this show, it's on USA. It's about a "Burned" spy who does odd jobs around Miami with the usually, killing people that need to be killed, with his friends. Anyway, it's an awesome show, I would recommend it to anyone. No new ones till summer though. Shucks

  3. First off welcome man... I wish you well on ur sound system experience a.d hope you gain. Plethora of knowledge... first question IS the 6 to 8 for the entire system or just ur amp and subs what Bout radio and wire and stuff

Thanks for the welcome bud, I hope to as well. 6-8 for subs and amp. i could push it to 1200 if needed. im interested, to say the least.

For 8 to 12 hundo, you could get a hell of a lot more than just 2 12's and 1k watts.

  4. Design as in blue prints??? If so go to google, type in "Google Sketchup" that's what I use and I love it.

I have tried using sketch up, but I can't figure out how to do anything with it. Ha

And, any idea on what i put for diameter in the port section of torres's box calc? Whats it mean?

Does it mean like the 2nd part on the "L" port. The horizontal one?

  5. Of all the reviews I've seen, I believe the SA series would take more power then the Type Rs. I would think of the SAs to be more geared to SPL then SQ where as the Type Rs would retain a fair amount of SQ.

Price is always something that comes into play when thinking of a setup for me. Between these two choices I would run the Type Rs. It'd be well over a $100 cheaper. Which leaves more money for other upgrades and misc. things to help further improve your stereo listening experience.

I completely agree with all of that except for the first part. From what I have heard, from multiple people, the Sa's get louder than the R's, yet still sound better. They are pretty much just better all around.

But like he said, Money....Money....Money. You just have to take everything into perspective and look at everything your looking to accomplish.
