  1. wanting to get rid of this Eclipse head unit. I've had it for around two years. I got it used in a trade, the person before me cut the speaker wires short(to about 2 inches). The positive, constant, and ground are normal lengths. It is missing the trim plate. Everything works and the face plate is in mint condition. I do have the remote for it. I can't find the specs on this but it has 3 five volt outputs on it. I have plenty of all positive refs on this site. Price is 50.00 shipped through Paypal.

  2. I have a 1988 Cadillac Eldorado. I want to bag it but I know nothing about bags. i have no problem installing or figuring things out. I don't want to go into crazy fabrication but I am fine with doing mild fab work. I was looking at airbagit.com, they have a bolt on kit for the car but I hear nothing but horror stories and a few good stories about them. I've looked around at other places and found nothing that corresponds with that car. I'd like to piece together a kit just cause I know I can pick better quality parts as I go rather than getting a basic set up although I can upgrade as I go with the kit. Any suggestions?

  3. The lights are fine. I just wanted to know if they wouldn't blind oncoming traffic because they are not clear. I'm worried about not blinding people. A lot of people just buy HID kits and throw them on. The correct way is to buy that projector kit they have that puts all your light on the road. I just need to know if an HID kit will be ok for me since they don't make clear lenses and the projectors.

  4. I want to get some HID's for my 88 Eldorado. I was reading up about them and everyone says they should be done correctly with the projector retro fit and cut-offs. The thing is, is my car has those older style square headlights unlike the newer clear lense ones. I know they will work and all but my concern is will they be ok as far as on coming traffic since the lenses aren't clear and kinda limit the "hot spots"?

  5. hey, thats what were here for. For wire make sure to use 1/0 gauge and get enough the do the big three( roughly 8-10ft.) and enough to run from the front battery to the back battery (roughly 18-20ft.). Run that positive to positive on the batts. and you can ground the back battery to the from just make sure its grounded in a good spot(roughly 2ft) for that. Then get some wire to run from the back battery to your amps pos. and neg.. Wherever you get the wire always be sure to get a little extra just in case you mess some up, its always better to have extra than not enough.

Be sure to post up any more questions you have so you can do everything right the first time.

  6. If your looking at that Alpine 2000 for subs, I'd look into two FI Bl's, DC level fours, Sundown SA-12's. There are other brands out there but all three of those listed have proven themselves. For an extra battery I'd look into Powermaster or kinetik. Wiring wise would be Knukonceptz wire or some Stinger from Darvex. Sonicelectronix has that Alpine 200 for 419.00 plus shipping.

  7. Anybody have any suggestions, pros or cons about this? I have a nice JVC (forget the model#) that has a bad a@@ equalizer and five volt preouts, and basicly everything I want in a headunit. I've done a lot of research on here and in general about line drivers, some people swear by them and some say they are a waste of money. Anyways I came across an Audio Control video that explained the said line driver and they were saying that like power wire rca's tend to lose a little power with longer runs and could possibly pick up noise and such. In general I'm looking to get just the cleanest signal I can get and was wondering if i could get that by adding this piece? I'm not worried about the price, I just want to know if this would be beneficial or not? I know Audio Control makes superior stuff. I was also looking into a new line driver type deal Rockford has out but I need a three in three out deal and the Fosgate was only one in one out. By the way heres a link to the matrix.

Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  8. Just decided to go with something simple rather than six eights or three tens. Will be ordering a sub(s) monday. Narrowed it down to these two setups in a trunk. Amp is 1200+ watts at one ohm. Is it worth sending all the power to one sub or splitting it between two but have more cone area? What would you do? I know theres already topics like this but I couldn't find them. i would like to go the cheaper route only if the output is very close.
