  1. It´s a big ass SUV, i would say your peak should be right around 48-50 hz at the most, i dunno about your tahoe but my explorer HATES anything tuned past the 41 hz mark, if i were you, i would tune the box no more than 41 hz , subs up/port back it´s a proven kick ass box for SUV´s.

    I would shoot for around 160 SQ of port and 14-15" long , that would give you around 41 hz tuning and maybe 4.7 c/f per sub, that´s one big ass box for burps if you ask me, but if you already built it then just try it :drinks:

    yes i do have the box built it just a old box just something to play with.

    so what do you think I should do for the ports, should I do areo or slot. could still use some help with this.

    If I was peaking at 48-50hz what do you think I should turn to?

  2. How do you plan on doing the port? External aero or something? I'd tuned higher, like 42hz, if you were peaking at 47hz before.

    dont know on port, what do you think would work the best. and im all for higher tuning, need some help on this could you do something for me

  3. imo knu's klmx is junk. i have it in my car and i just cant stand how the wire is. didnt want to solder worth a crap and the wire just seems cheap. i have some kolossus cable coming to me right now so i will see what that looks like. my favorite wire has been my old stinger copper wire i use to run. no crap just straight copper and it was nice. will let you know how the kolossus is when i get it in a day or 2

    Thanks man,

    let me know

  4. Its all about how much power the wire can carry. For some reason off the top of my head I remember knu's ofc wire being rated for 300 amps and their cca rated for 250 amps? two runs of cca would be "rated" 500 amps. This would be say, depending on how you calculate it... 12*500*.7 or 4200 watts. But, variables are around. This is assuming all the power for the amps is coming from the front. ofc would be "rated" 5040 watts. So sure, there is a difference, but I doubt it would be noticeable especially since you better be running some extra batts in the back to be able to handle that power. Of course this is all based on some numbers that were floating around in my head... and I would check to see the difference in the rated capacity of the wire you are using, but cca should be fine if saving a few bucks in the area is that important to you.

    Thanks man

    I will have batts in the back,

    Knu's wire was what I was looking to get
