  1. i don't think its the LPF, even if it is i can play with that any time and fix that, but really im trying to figure why they aren't hitting right, there in phase but not loading properly. and thanks the box is a little leaky untill i resin the inside.

  3. its like 50x21x26 i think, im powering with a hifonics brz2400 @ 2 ohms, so there getting 1700rms right now
  4. the one closest to the port is right, the one closest to you in the picture ( Farthest from port ) isn't hitting low's at all, or really any constant note. it will hit like kicks along with the other sub.
  5. best i got right now, it has been doing this since i installed it, only had it in my truck for not even a week
  6. you always answer my dumb questions so quickly lol but yeah i dont know a whole lot about " loadin issues " but i wish i could figure it out, i DMM'd the subs before i put in the box and all hte voice coils were reading the same, so i dont think a VC is bad.. the local shop said it could be something to do with my box being a common chamber and causing it to do this.. i REALLY dont want to build another box, lol pain in the ass taking my seats out like 4 times
  7. i know i ask alot of dumb questions, but my box is leaking a bit, my sub closest to the port hits almost like normal, and the other one doesnt move near as much as the other sub, they hit at the same time though. but i was thinking that maybe the leaky box is causing them to act wierd? tomorrow im going to pick up resin and try to resin the whole box in side to seal it up completely, and the leaky box should be the cause of my subs not hitting very good on the low notes, thought its tuned to 33hz? there still rediculously loud for what im used to, but id like to fix this all before the comp next month.
  8. Well if I wasn't on my iPhone then I would read your sig! And if you'd read the "wire/fuse guide" in the electrical section then you wouldn't be asking us this dumb fucking question... Have a nice day smart ass lol seriously dude? I didnt mean the " well if you read my sig " in a smart ass manor, it may have come out like that, but was not intended. forums are to discuss and ask questions so fuck off.
  9. oh really? well shit i hope it fits, pain in the ass taking it all out for nothing haha, if the 8 doesn't fit ill just use the 12 cause i cant find my 10awg lol
  10. well normally i'd think that too, but its Schosche so i didnt know if it being a crappy wire would make much of a difference as a speaker wire lol
  11. well if you read my sig, im running a Hifonics BRZ2400.1D @ 2 ohms, so 1700RMS to 2 15" RE SX subs ported.
  12. hey guys im using a crap 16awg speaker wire for my subs/amp right now.. lol, i purchased 16ft. of monster 12awg speaker wire fo 10$. but i also have some Schosche 8awg power wire, and scosche 10awg power wire ( From previous owners inst alls )lying around, which would you use?
  13. haha me too man, comp is next month.. would like to go bump it there at full potential.. oh well im loudest in my town still haha!
  14. Did you check to see if the wiring was right? yeah i used my Hifonics chart that came with my amp, to wire the 2 dual 2 ohm subs to a 2 ohm load so im sure its done right, but i just bought 10awg speaker wire so i will double check when i switch it out
  15. yeah when i first got them i multi metered the voice coils and they were all reading the same, but ill check again
  16. hey guys i have a question, its hard to explain but ill do my best. my 15's share a common chamber ported box, when im playing, the sub closest to the port moves no problems just like it should, but the sub farthest from the port hits in time as the other sub, but not nearly as hard. like for example when playing White girl-young jeezy, at those low notes, the sub closest to the port is moving like crazy, real good excursion ( for what im pushing ) and the other one isn't doing much at all, but when its a bass-kick? they hit at the same time.. so i dont think there out of phase.. local shop said it might be my box because its common chambered. any ideas?
  17. yeah exactly thats the boxes im talking about lol
  18. well at the shop, they have all the dd 15 series subs in Digital Designs ported boxes, basically a prefab box that has a DD Design all over it im guessing? but the guy working at the shop has the same box the dd 1512 im looking at comes with, but he upgraded to the 2512 series and he really likes the box, so im going to assume its built to dd spec?
  19. so, in like 2 minutes i've decided im going to buy a DD 1508/1510/1512 tomorrow, or the next. basically tehy will be off a Orion HCCA 1200 or something ( i think ) basically does 1200@ 1 ohms, not sure about 2 ohms, and like 450@ 4ohms, i belive. but anyways. i will be running whichever sub in the factory DD box for music, and will be making a SPL burp box for competing. basically i was wondering would there be a significant difference between the cone sizes? i know there the same motors etc, but competing wise would a 12 have a big advantage over a 8 with everything being the same? i would love to get a 8 and make it burp 130+ but i'd hate to not spend the extra 40$ and get a 12 and be louder lol which would YOU get?
  20. well in my daily driver its just to work and back, normally i listen to the radio cause personally i like the radio around here, but i do intend on competing, im entering my truck next month in a local show even though ill be in the " extreme class " or whatever he called it, competing with someone that has 6 dd 9510s LOL, but i just wanna switch it up and try stuff out, i would keep the factory DD 1508 box for music, and build a small burp box with a nice aero port extendng out of the box, they had a box there with a DD 6.5 sub and it hit harder then my jbls hahaha
  21. well ofcourse its more then buying equipment, but i heard the shops " clarion demo car " and it burped me a 149db on 9 10'' clarions lol, surprised the shit out of me and now im really wanting to make something for burping ya know? i dont wanna remake a box for my re sx's so ill leave those alone, but i might try this little 8 out
  22. yeah well my car has a kenwood crap amp, and 2 10" JBL's in a bandpass box that came with it when i bought it.. i could get like 200$ for them and honestly i think the DD1508 would be louder then the crap jbl's i got haha not to mention if i burp it and people will be surprised its an 8 haha but i haven't heard them, the shop showed me a DD 9510 on there little display in side, and WOW. lol
  23. hey guys i just went to a local shop for the first time, and they have brand new DD sub lines etc in now, im REALLY thinking of getting a DD 1508 or 1510 and a Orion 1200monoblock, they are giving me a pretty sweet deal, i'd get the subs ( In the DD factory box ) and the amp for less then 500$ and i have the wiring etc, and i hear you can hit 140+ Db with these little suckers on burps? lol i have my 15's in my truck so thinking of making a burp box for my daily driver car basically im asking what do you guys think, would i be impressed with this DD 1508/1510? or would i be wasting my time, never heard a DD sub in my life
  24. yeah i dont know man, it is a mazda! HAHA! but i'll take what i get and im so happy with this install lol, tomorrow ill really try to get a vid of it!
