My Cherokee has a 117A Alternator. I added a Red Top and did Big 3 and it handles my Ap1500.1D daily easily. I'm not sure if it does it's 1500W rated, but I do fine in the electrical department.

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport, and I'm looking into some HIDs, however, I'd like to be sure I have everything I need for an easy install. Will http://www.quadratec.com/products/97017_1600.htm and http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-HID-Kit-Slim-Ballast-35W-or-55W be everything I need, or is there something else I need? I'd appreciate all the help I can get.

Can you still use your backseats in your cherokee? I have one and I have no idea how big I can go but still keep my seats.

I'm fairly certain it is. I called my dad about it, and he said that was probably what it was as the car has had a history of compressor related issues.

Alright, I'll replace the compressor and see if I continue to get the noise. Thanks for the help guys.

I'm in Charleston SC. It was like, 75 yesterday I think. And if it's an AC Comp Clutch or a Bearing in the Compressor, am I able to fix that myself? I have a -somewhat- limited knowledge of cars, but obviously not a lot.

Red Top under the hood, so I don't think it's that. It was a grinding from the Engine Bay. Freaked me the **** out when I first heard it.

Bumping, as usual. AC up on full blast, and my car starts making this hideous grinding noise. I got my food, and then turned everything off and went to go let the engine cool down. Did all that, drove home with no noise. Yay. So anyway, I pulled into my driveway, turned my stereo stuff up to the normal Bumping volume, and no noise. I had the AC off, so I believe it's just due to excess electrical strain. I'm thinking about doing the Big 3 to see if that will conquer this noise, but I'd like some input from you guys first. Big 3 necessary? Any other fixes to this?

I have about 4' of 1/0 AWG Power Cable and 2.5' of 1/0 Ground (Not sure if there's a distinct difference between Power and Ground cable) left from my install. The Alternator is DIRECTLY below the Battery, so I would assume this would be enough for the Big 3, right?

Well I'll assume it's a prebuilt, so what model is it? Should say on the case. If it's not there then -
On XP - Start -> Run -> DxDiag -> Should be something with a model number
On Vista/W7 - Windows Logo -> Search DxDiag (You have to type in ALL of it) -> Should be something with a model number.

I'm looking for an AudioQue HDC3 15 (http://www.audioque.com/aq/?page_id=24) copper coils, D1 Preferred, but if you have D2, don't hesitate to reply. I need help selecting a wiring kit for the Audiopipe 1500d I plan on getting this Christmas. I was looking at this - http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KOL-AK4 - but I'm not sure it'll work. Any suggestions? I'm new to car audio, so I probably won't understand some of the technical things.
