Can't quite remember at the moment, but the box was made for a DC Level 4 12 and was tuned to 33. I believe its around 30 but Ill check later. But only that sub does that in that box. All others sound great. Kicker Comp, CVT, CVR, SA-12, DC XL, and a few others.

They can make more dbs. They allow you to distract the judges while you hack the termlab to give you a higher score.
Or if you keep them in your car, when the sound waves hit them, their fur reflects and amplifies them, thus giving you more dbs.

Sorry guys, i just couldn't resist taking a pic and showing this to yall. Its not every day you see this. And yes they are strays and I didn't force any of them in there. And I was hoping that the last one not in the pic would get in, but it never did. And if anyone lives near me and wants them, then come and get em. And no I will not ship lol.

Well thats what i thought. I had it in a box that was 1.75 cubes with 25 sq in. of ports but it was loud but had port noise for some reason. So i experimented and found that it sounds best on about 10 sq in. per ft. But thanks man. I appreciate it.

Not sure what amp he has planned for it. I am trying to talk him into getting something worth while. But he says he is on a pretty tight budget. I believe he has a Boss PH2500M right now that he is wanting to use on it til he gets something else. I don't know if that will do anything for the sub. But I guess we may just have to find out...

center of back bench seat and there are 2 ports. 1 firing toward the truck doors on each side of the very bottom of the box. the sub will be facing up in the seat.

A friend of mine asked me to build him a box for his 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 ext. cab truck for 1 Alpine Type R 12. And this is what i came up with...

I am looking for a working mtx ebc remote gain knob. It is the one with a headphone jack type plug.

If you have an smart phone there is an app called "box tuning calculator" that isn't too bad.

whats the max dimensions that you could use? and is there any certain port position that you want? 2 side ports? one side? middle?
and any certain tuning frequency?

the 4 gauge doesnt help any. and you would actually need 2/0 welding cable to roughly equal 1/0 car audio wire. turn all bass boosts off or all the way down on both radio and amp. if there is a sub volume option on the radio, turn it all the way up. and if using the remote knob, turn it all the way up as well.
you will probably not get the full 2250 from the amp with the wire you are currently using but you should possibly have enough to move the subs some. just set it to the maximum non clipping setting until you get better wire.
