hell yeah. it would hit the lows pretty good. i say go for it.

i went from a dc level 4 12 to 3 dc 8s. not much of a smaller box but i think it was worth it. the 8s were actually louder than 12 with less of power...800 watts at 2 ohms for the 12 and about 670 total at 2.67 ohms for the 8s

i have got to get me some of those

And check the speaker wiring. If you are running more than 1 per channel, then make sure they are not wired at too low of ohms. And check the voltage at the amp. You may need bigger wire with the watts you are trying to push. And then check your gains as stated above

oh man i cant wait til they are released

lol i like this one better than the original commercial...poor steve

I recently converted one of my buddies from JL to Sundown. He says, "I will definitely not go back." I sold his W1 12s in a probox and sold him my SA-15 and made him a box. "Best decision I have ever made," he claims.

I will supply more pics as the build progresses. I am in the design stages now. Still have to get my subs and material for the box. and I have to meet SPL1989 to make the trade. Our work schedules are not even close to the same. Might start on it this weekend. And I also have to work on my other car that's in my garage. Gotta find the wiring harness for the fuel injectors. It's in my garage some freaking where. LOL. but trust me there will be build pics. and I might cut the brace myself as I also have access to a d - size plotter and can print it out to scale. I have to pay the guy to make the CNC brace. and if I wanted to I could have the entire box cut out by the CNC but there is a lot of material that will be scraped cause of the way the table is setup. it takes a 4x8 sheet and makes it a 3x7 sheet.
Lol its sps1989 but thats close. And yeah dang work and school leaves me with no time to do anything

Looks good man. Whatcha gonna do with the third one?

Thanks guys. Once I get enough posts one will be on here fst

Or if i get a recone kit for one of them, are they close enough to run them together?
-
Why not the other way around? Why not keep the xl?

I have a dc level 4 12 with level 5 dual 1.4 coils and a xl 12 with dual 2 coils. I am wandering if i can wire them together and have them in the same box? If so what would the ohm load be when wired together?
-
okay i'll take a look at this tomorrow. out of curiosity, what's the thickness of the ports?
I will probably use either 1/16 or 1/8" steel. Depends on which one will be sturdier with or without bracing or grooves or what not
-
I talked to rusty and he said that they do pretty good in a box .7-.8. And with me using 5/8" mdf it will give me about .72 per sub after displacement minus a little bit for bracing. So it will be close to .7. And my cousin has four of these in a sebring coupe running on a saz1500 in a 2.8 box, which is .7 each. And was in the 140s

Any luck man?

Ok cool. Thanks. Ill pm you my email for faster communication

Thanks man. See if she can make it to where the inside of it is 1.625x7.5"
-
The port is 2x12.5x23" which is tuned to 33 I believe. But i can make it whatever is necessary. Wider, longer, or whatever needs to be done. And I was thinking about facing the port forward on the bottom cuz it would go right in between the center console and the seat, but I'm not sure yet. And I'm only doing this til I finish my box for behind my back seat for my 3 8s.
