I have a center console type box that I made for a dc level 4 12 for my 02 silverado chew cab that has the dimensions of 30.5"x14x13 using 3/4" mdf. I was wondering if that box would be ok for my xl 12? And what port area should I use for it? It will have to be 12.5"x?. I am using a crescendo bc2000 so i have plenty of power. And which way should my port face if my sub is up? Forward? Up?
This is a pic of the box with the level 4 in it

I am looking to buy or maybe trade for 3 or 4 dd, sundown, or dc 8 with dual 2 ohm voice coils. Would like to stay local but if its a good enough deal then I will take it. I have 3 dc 8 d4s that I would possibly trade. Or maybe a dc xl 12 d2. Just let me know what ya got and we can go from there
-
Yeah. I really love my 8s but I am looking for some d2s. And I had this guy offer me his xl. So if I take it then I will probably use it for a little bit then sell or trade it for some d2 8s. The 8s fit better in my truck cuz I can put them behind my back seat but i do have a center console box that I had a level 4 12 in.
so yall think this trade straight would be good either way.
-
Would you trade 3 dc level 2 8 d4 subs for 1 dc xl 12 d2? Or vice versa? Both either with or without a box.
-
do yall think i need more port area? like make it 10" each instead of 8? or maybe even smaller like 6 or 5"?
-
How are the port walls going to be oriented inside the box?
just straight down. pointing right between the subs and right out the top of the box. oh and i failed to mention that the subs are 3 dc level 2 8s
-
i have drawn up a sketch of a box that i would like to put behind the back seat of my truck, which is a 2002 chevrolet silverado 1500hd crew cab, that will be holding 3 dc level 2 8s. let me what yall think. if you would change anything then feel free to post up what you would do.

Take a look around RAM's thread in the for sale section. He's got a ton of batts.
thanks for the tip but he doesnt really have anything that i am looking for.

im looking for a battery for my '02 silverado 1500hd that will be used as the main starting battery and that can handle a 2500w system. im looking for a xs d3400 or stinger spp1500d or something in that range. i would like a new batt but if i can get a great deal on a used i will. let me know what you have. or if you know somewhere to get one then dont be afraid to say so.

would the optima yellow tops group 34 batteries be good for this system? i have a buddy that works at autozone and can get me a discount. im tight on cash and am itching to put all of my system in and use it to its full potential. but if they are not good, then would a different group be better or should i just try to save up for a good while for a xs d3400?
oh and i am really only wanting to have one batt up front if possible...no batt in the back

which brand and or size alt should i get?

i have a 2002 chevy silverado 1500hd that has all stock electrical on it. i have a crescendo bc2000 that i plan on running to 3 dc level 2 8s at 2.67 ohms (about 1100w), which is accompanied by a merlon 50x4 for the door speakers. and i may change my setup later to use its full potential, so lets just say i will have about 2500w. i have all the 1/0 wiring ready to go and am going to do the big 3. but do i need to upgrade to a high output alt or get a battery to replace the primary one like a stinger spp1500d or do both? or is there a better way to do it? let me know the best way to do this setup.
-
what do yall think of the stinger spp1500d battery for under the hood
-
i was just asking for the minimum so i know where to start. and i will look into those batteries, but is there anything cheaper that yu would recommend?
-
but what is the minimum that i should do?
and would replacing the main battery be better and or easier?

i have a 2002 silverado 1500hd with stock battery and big 3 upgrade. i have a crescendo bc2000 and a merlon 50x4 amp that i will be putting in my truck. i am going to run 1/0 to the back of my truck to a secondary battery. what size and possibly which battery should i use? and should i upgrade my alt too?

Bucket seats, full bench or 60/40 bench?
I say make 2 buckets (if not already) and a center console box between them.
