Does it have to be plastic or could it be 3/4" mdf? you could take mdf and bend it from a 7" tube up to a 30" tube with one sheet of mdf
-
What is the tube for?

I belive on that moddel you have to toggle the ground on for 3-5 sec off 3-5 sec then on everytime it looses the powwre to the switched lead.

no you can put grill cloth over a port with no affect to sound. you can also use grill cloth to keep the pollyfill inside a ported enclosure.

They have very loud mids. The subs are ight but they have not taken alot of comps lately. but they did make a big splash last year at sbn in daytona.

in most head units if you drop volts below 11.5 it will shut off. even if you read 14.4 if you have a below standard ground to the head (which most factory wiring is below standard) it will drop volts at high strain times.
-
Did you find the problem?

That much pressure on any moving part is eventually going to tear up. try jumping and landing on pavement with an extra 100lbs on your back. first few times is cool but after a while your knees will give out. same with ball joints and upper a arm fasteners.

It works kind of like porting your car. try your windows at different levels.
