right now im stuck between 2 sundown z v3's or dc xl m2's...

said im stuck between the 2. i never said which is louder, which can handle more power, get louder none of the sort...
ive never used dc or sundown higher end subs... always had decent 12s or 15s but never a 7k rms sub stage. guess i'll buy whatever i get the best deal on.

not a vs thread, just want help choosing from ppl that have dealt with something that i havent...Try them all. We can't tell you what to choose because then nuthuggers, won't name names, will come out and start saying **** FTW!

150 easy...with just listing amp and possible subs?.....
well i do 149.2 currently with 2 aq hdc15s and a crescendo 3500d at .5ohm
i know a few ppl with single z v3's doing high 149s and some low 150s so yea.. 150 easy lol just my opinon...but its for daily so i could care less about the meter
just dont want 4 15s..never had 18s before and wanna try 18sWhy not 4x 15's

i want 2 18s.
will be powered by a vfl750, daily.
daily groundpounder and some demo's.. not really doing shows but im sure it'll do a 150 with ease.
right now im stuck between 2 sundown z v3's or dc xl m2's...

Wow, I didn't know Eton was still around. My boy used to have a set of them in his Civic back in the early 90's, sexy speakers, it was love at first sight.
Eton hasnt gone anywhere. super high quality German speakers.
eton mids are in all Adam studio monitors.( http://www.adam-audio.com/ )
i use A8x's everyday as an audio engineer and i'd love that sound in my truck. the 8's that im looking are the exact same mids in my A8x's
i'll probably go that route...
i have everything except my mids/highs. amp's got here yesterday.

Starting my build and im trying to select my mids...
debating on eton or morel.
both are pure sonic quality and awesome sq but im debating on which is the better mid in my truck.
i use Eton speakers everyday as they are the mids in Adam monitors. flat out awesome sounding monitors but have a ribbon tweeter..
eton has a tweeter that im considering though, the Eton 25SD-1...
anyone have experience with morel mids...? i currently have morel tweeters with planet audio bb65pro mids
i want 8's in all 4 doors in m tahoe. havent seen to many morel 8's
hole build will be:
Ipad in the dash
Kenwood KIV-BT900 (volume control etc)
4-Eton A8 Symphony (8inch mids)
4-Eton 25SD-1 (1inch tweeters)
2-Audioque AQ4X90 (1 bridged to the mids, 1 bridged to the tweeters)
2-Audioque 2200D
2-Fi Btl-N2 15's (in 9cubes net tuned to 34hz)
2-300amp alts
1 xs D3400 (starting battery)
2 xs D3100's in back

I got a 250amp alt from a ebay dealer. Does 14.9 all the time no more lights dimming, seems to just as strong as my 300 irragi in a past vehicle.

Depending on the encoding rate. At 320kbps a 4-4.5 minute song is 11meg. 500gig a high rate is only 45k songs.
I have over 2TB worth of music.

i was looking at a PowerBass Xtreme XEQ-5XO too... claims 10v RMS!!

well the horror story i've heard is amps going into protect super ease, bad soldering and amps smoking.. didnt hear it about the SD5000 but sd overall... but with a 5 year warranty i'm gonna take the risk

i know the SD5000 is rated at 12.6
i ordered it last tuesday.
i was told 14.4 i'll see 6600 in a perfect world with out impedance rise. i'll probably set the vcm to 14.9 to 15.2 somewhere between there
my truck is currently at 15.2 with out the vcm LOL but i know soon as i add that sd5000 in its gonna drop.

currently looking at the current BTL N218 or should i buy the standard BTL slightly used or bnib
should i buy it as is or add all 3 options? HiXmCoil, Cooling and P Chamfer? making it a fully loaded BTL
trying to convince the wife to let me get SMD's.. found some on caco for $775 each but she aint having it right now lol...

if i go with btl's which series will take the sd5000?
i've been hearing some soundigital horror stories and i'm thinking about using my extra amp and getting another which is a AP aqx3500.1 so even with impedance rise it should still be putting around 3000rms.
2 aqx3500.1's or the SD5000.1

my 2 XL 15s worked great in 8 cubes ported...
well that what i was gonna use with the 2 lvl5's. rusty told me 3.75-4cubes each tuned to 34 would hurt with 3000rms

at this point it does even matter. if my build takes longer then it does but i wanna be fully satisfied and dont wanna feel like i have to upgrade in 6 months to a year.
arent mayhem's and btl's honestly the same? i know the new btls are different...just wondering.
ive been debating on lvl5 15s or smd15s...but i love massive lows and the impact of 18s and i want to pull a 150. hell 149.9 is close enough lol
sometime next year i'll do a wall and not care about cargo area

im considering 18s though my mind is set on 15 unless i can find 2 15s that will work well in 10cubes together... i have a tahoe and sure i can fit 4 18s easy but i still need some cargo area for food and things for my kids since the wife wont be getting her new car til this summer, probably the new Taurus Sho but im wondering what 18s perform well in 5cubes each with about 3000rms each?
are there any? i know most want 6cubes but i think a 12cube box may be to big to have any cargo area left.

Cj18 as I stated I'm gonna run a sd5000 for the rest of the year then get another one or a sd8000. That's why I'm going with lvl5's not to mention its what rusty recommended to me

I plan on getting lvl5's and running a SD5000 for a year then upgrading to a sd8000 or 2 sd5000's. I sent a box quote to dl. Do you think lvl5's will sound good with 3200 rms each tuned to 34hz. Going off dc's spec at 3.75cubes per sub

The SD5000 is capable of outputting 6000 watts. I'd go with either AA Mayhems or Fi BTLs. Those subs have a crazy amount of technology in them.
Naw I don't want BTL's unless they were 18's and that won't be for 2 years. I'll wall this truck with 4 18's
But I've chosen to go with 2 lvl5 15s b/c a deal I can get on them. But will I wake them up with 3000rms or go with xl's b/c they're alive at 3000rms
