  1. so, tonight i helped my boss do some work on his basement and end up getting home around 1045.... being the baller i am, i still live with my parents... my dad has been a firefighter for years and knows all the area cops... well when i pull up theres a sheriff car in my driveway, just chillin talkin shit with my dad.... somehow, i ended up with two cops sitting in my truck for a demo, in my neighborhood, at a quarter till 11 at night..... oh yea, and of course me and my boss had a couple beers while working, not drunk, but the smell is there..... this incident ended in two cops getting a business card from me.... HOW FUCKING AWESOME IS THAT!?!

  2. the only thing youll need is an actuator for each door youre trying to make powered.... at my shop we sell a viper alarm for $250 (installed), then $75 a door to do the actuators...... dont know if youre just wanting to do it yourself or what.....

  3. that sucks. mine has bose in it too and at first i missed the "orange wire" i think and would turn on but no sound then i hooked it up and it was good to go, i went to best buy for advice and they talked for 10min about some bypass BULLSHIT i needed...i was like ill come back thanks. at the same time i though to myself "if i connected everything" and so i check right there in the parking lot and BINGO it worked! You have to connect the wire that turns on the bose amp :-)

in a lot of chevrolets you can make bose work by just turning it on.... but in nissans, it has to be turned on and grounded to work..... sure beats the hell out of $150 harnesses......

  4. actually I was correct.

    That radio is iso

It is grounded using the metal brackets that bolt to the subdash

There is no wire on the opposing end of the factory harness for the black/white wire.

Nice try though busting my balls.

ISOing the radio grounds the radio, but not the amp.... there is a opposing wire on the factory side of the harness, and it must be grounded for sound... trust me i had this same arguement with my boss recently when he told our other installer that the bose would work with just the blue/white.......

  5. all very good answers but not quite right.....

nissan radio harnesses dont have grounds in them, they use the antenna as the ground.... what you need to do is make sure that the blue with white wire is hooked up, AND that the black with white is grounded.... what i do is run a short wire to the huge metal peice behind the radio use a ring terminal and screw that hoe inthere..... there you go....

  6. ok guys... you all know i work at a shop.... i get all kinds of questions/comments..... today i almost couldnt hold in the smile.... had the regular street thug gangsta come in with his car know it all homie and they looked at stereos... then saw the alarms we had on display.... he was wondering the difference between

    and

    5702V.jpg

after explaining that the 5901 has remote start and 2 way security, and the responder 350 is just a 2way alarm, his homie says "you must have a 3 way alarm"..... referring to the fact that the dude had the old school responder with the blue remote that did both......

    i love my job...........

  7. buckled those cheesballs in tho damn i wanna find me a woman whose mother will support me damn where they all at??lol

  8. so, i recently traded ipods with my boss, because i had too much music for my 16GB.... anywho, since resyncing his with 19GB of music, the ipod hasnt left my glove box, and has been playing on my 4100.. tonight my dad wanted to listen to a song off his iphone on my system, so i disconnected the ipod, played the song, and reconnected the ipod.. all that my head unit says is "ERROR 02-63".. the ipod doesnt do anything. ive pressed every button, held every button, connected it to a charger, and my computer. still nothing.. and no its not on "hold".. anybody have any experience? ideas? two cents? ANYTHING? on this topic..
