  1. well i hope jp will put up a build log for us? i am intrested its 10 18" ffs everyone should want to see what it dose with new shop building it...

curious as to what happend before the perma ban him. but guess not our buinsess..

It's in good hands with James, maybe he'll get around to doing his personal Tahoe "rebuild" sometime around 2014 or so. lmao

  2. I wound up just going with a Pioneer off of Amazon for under $80. It's not like she's gonna be banging down the block with a set of 5.25 components in the dash and 4"x6"s in the back. Besides, all I like is putting a hu in it, and putting the carpet on the back wall, and it's go time for throwing all my shit out of the truck into that Tahoe.

  3. I had a good run with the sound system in my truck, but I've decided to step up and get another vehicle, something a little more, roomy to say the least.

Long story short, my mother has taken another job closer to home and I've been wanting to get another vehicle for the past few months, so we've just decided to swap vehicles, which I'm more than content doing.

Anyway, I'm just putting some mediocre speakers in it for the time being, but I'm keeping my Pioneer flip out (for sale btw.) No more than she will be driving it, she doesn't need anything over the top, just a plain headunit she can pop cds into and listen to music will suit her more than just fine. Just wondering what suggestions anyone had, looking to spend less than $150.

    Thanks

  4. That looks nice, cant wait to see some vids, those SA's should get down. I really like that battery, i have 2 of them.

So far I love this battery, I was skeptical at first about the voltage dropping and the need to add another one, but with the system cranked up my voltage has only dropped to 13.2. Still may add another one later on, but since it's not dropping any worse I'll see how it holds up for the time being. The boys at DC power really did a hell of a job on the alternator.

Should have a few videos up shortly. Let me know what yall think. A lot of money/work went into this build and I'm quite proud of it.

Huge thanks to user jat40 on here taking time off from his job to do this build for me, check out his posts on here and you can see why I chose him to do the build for me, the man knows his shit.

  6. Finally getting around to taking pictures and making a few videos. Got my truck back Saturday night after almost a week of having everything put in. As far as everything goes, I am absolutely amazed by everything. The mids/highs are amazing, the amps bring plenty of power, and the subs slam for being 10"s.

    A few pictures of everything.

New speaker pods in the dash that replaced where 4"x6" speakers went. Rockford T152-S components went into each pod.

Q-Logic Kick panels, each has a Rockford T1652-S component in it.

Crossovers for the components on the driver's side, mounted on the box.

    100_0680.jpg

    Hifonics ZXi80.4, powering all components.

Shot of the box. 2 Sundown SA-10 Dual 4s wired down to 1ohm. Box is 2.5 cubes tuned at 35hz.

  7. Alright guys over the past four months I've been running back and forth on what products to run in my truck. From different sizes to different number of subs. But now I've finally got everything figured out. Products are as following, just waiting on my alternator to come in and going to pick my battery up Saturday.

Head unit: Pioneer AVH-P5200DVD (already installed, great product)

Mids/Highs: Rockford Fosgate T152-S 5.25"s will be going where my 4"x6"s were in the dash with a little modification.

Rockford Fosgate T1652-S 6.5"s will be going in Q-Logic kick panels that I bought back around Christmas (ebay FTW)

    Mids/Highs Amp: Hifonics Zxi80.4

    Subs: (2) Sundown SA-10" Dual 4s

    Sub Amp: Hifonics BRZ2400D

Alternator: DC Power PRO 280 Amp

    Battery: Stinger SP1500D

Sound Deadening: Fatmat applied to both doors and back wall.

All Stinger HPM wiring (speaker, and power/ground) will be used in the truck. 4 gauge for my mids/highs amp, then 1/0 for my sub amp and do to the big 3 upgrade in.

Gonna take my truck over to a good friend of mine's house to work on it, jat40 is his username on here, great guy who knows what he's doing. Can't wait to see what kind of work he does to my truck. Plenty of pictures and maybe a couple of videos to follow next week.

  8. I'm surprised a computer with Windows 95 can even run internet these days. Ha.

computers can last a long time when you dont watch porn. lol just sayin

Well my luck with computers is about equivalent to my luck of jumping into a barrel full of pussy and coming up with a dick.
