  1. Just wonderning if you guys could throw me some suggestions for some good ported boxes to run 2 AQ sdc2.5 12s with. I dont want one to exspensive but not some cheap one that will make some great subs sound like crap. I dont have a price range because I dont know what is a good price, bad price or if im paying to much so some advice on this would be appreciated.

    Thank you

  2. Can just run off the original battery, I'd suggest looking around at some of the smaller brands...not bestbuy stuff...for your budget you can get a lot better. The current affordable company that everyone is loving is audioque check out their stuff at www.audioque.com and if you have a home depot in your town you can build a better box than any box from best buy...

    System I would Recommend:

    2 x Audioque SDC2.5-12 $140/each

    1 x Audioque 1200D $249/each

    1 x http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KFX-AK4 $59.99

    1 x http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_22378_Pioneer-DEH-P6200BT.html $134.99

    Grand Total: $725

I cant see the subs or the amp, all i got to see were the radio and the wiring.

thats because they arent links go to audioque.com and look at what he listed it is a VERY good starter system i wish i had people like these guys around before i bought my first system it would have saved me tons of money and time oh and not to mention what he listed will blow away anything you could get at best buy

Okay i'll look into that. Thankyou

  3. Take the list of everything you just made, then go look at amazon, or sonicelectronix, then realize how much you are over spending, then realize how much BETTER and LOUDER your system will be if you buy the right stuff from the right places, and try to install it yourself. Trust me man, best buy has it's limits, and if you are serious about car audio, you need to start with DIY, and your OWN car is the place to start. If you ever plan to get really deep into this, you will be able to do SO MUCH MORE than just buying stuff and getting it installed. 1/2 of my love for car audio, is installing. the other half is listening... just my opinion.

Yeah i just discovered sonicelectronix on youtube and i havent really looked at their website yet and i would like to get into car audio, it seems like an interesting hobby or even a job.

  5. well lets start with how much r u willing to spend for the whole system and we'll recomend from there.

To be honest with you guys I have around 800 in the bank and im willing so spend around that. I went to Bestbuy and look around and got an idea of what i wanted. I did some math on my phone and i got a number around 700. Two 12s, $99 each so we'll say 200. An enclosure about $50-$70 so no were at $270. Kicker 300 watt amp for $199, $470 total now. New deck for $100 now $570 total. Complete wiring kit for $50, $620 now. And then the installation is $50 for the radio and i think $70 for the amp and subs. So grand total of $740.

  6. Hey guys i'm new to car audio so give me a break please (16 years old). I dont have a car yet but will have one soon and since i was a kid the first thing i always wanted to do was put a system in it. So its about time and i came here for some advice from some knowledgable people. Ive been researching a little and ive found some things i am interested in and have a couple of questions.

Which one of these subs would you recommend?

What are the ups and downs of these brands and these subs?

    Do these subs hit hard?

Is Bestbuy a good place to get car audio equipment?

And my last question is, Best Buy wants to charge me like 50 bucks to install a new radio in my car. I have watched some videos on how to take out and install a new radio and it looks really simple but im sure its not when you get down to it yourself. So my question is should i let them install my radio or should i try to do it my self and save the money.

(I have a job, if that make any differnce. So money isnt really that big of an issue because i dont have any bills. I dont want something to big but i dont want some sony Xplode crap either)

    Thankyou for your time.
