-
yea i have a 500amp fuse and 0 guage wiring for ground and power and 10g for remote
yea i guess ill just send it back then since its only about 2hrs old
-
did you use a DMM or the other amp to check it? are you using the right size wiring for that Hifonics? If you used a smaller amp, and your power wires arent thick enough, the amp might not be recieving enough power...

ok so i was messing with it a little bit and if i touch the power off and on the indicator lights turns from green to red right away if this helps any...

Do you have a digital multimeter so you can check the voltage on the power and remote wire? Did you check your ground?
no i dont have a meter.... i need to get one though

yea everything is good. i had an amp on there to check it and the power and everything is good. hey do you think that maybe car toys would be able to do something? i just dont really want to send it back. arent they suppose to check to see if the amp is good before it leaves the warehouse or whereever it gets built?
-
what is there that i can to do to it to try and fix it??
-
so i just got off the phone with sonicelectronics and they are telling me that i need to send it back to them and that im going to have to pay for shipping and for them to test this is such bullshit
-
well if its brand new, never had any speaker wires or RCA's connected, hooked up right, turned on and went right into protect its 99% likely a bad amp. Just check to make sure you are getting at least 12v at the amp power terminals as well as the remote wire....probably gonna have to send it back
uugggghhh i really hope not
-
Did you have an amp connected their already? IF so did you change the wireing at all?
yea i had a smaller one everything was good. i didnt change anything on the wires. just unplugged and replugged. idk what the deal is?
-
so i just got my amp the hifonics 2607d and im outside hooking it up positive to positive neg to neg and rem. to rem. turn the key on and it goes straight to protect mode there arent any speaker wired connected or rca's i made sure that there arent any little pieces of strands of wire touching somewhere. everything is good wtf is the problem??

ya few more years of playing around and i think i can take on some good stuff.
Im looking for a gun with a finer line, i like stuff precise. With the needle i got in the paasche its not the most fine thing in the world. I like to start out thin and light, guess i just need some more practice and maybe a new gun.
oh ya if the gallery takes too long, i got some t-shirts and helmets he has done
you can see them here. Loads quicker then the flash stuff.
http://www.tophattees.com/Gallery_Pages/ai..._tshirts_1.html
yea thats what i want is a fine line. i wanna be able to be detailed. and work on small items too.
-
i dont know about "really good ones" but i use a Paasche for t-shirts, liscense plates, etc..
im not all that good, but my step dad has been doing it for years, he still sports his paasche. Has like 10 of them now.
umm if intrested you can check some of his work on the site i made him, www.tophattees.com, gallery might take a while to load, im reworking it, dont like the flash. Bout to go all php soon anyways
sweet ill check those guns and that site out right now. yea im not all that great either. ive used a buddies gun and made a shirt and thats about it came out alright. thanks again
-
well i have been messing with some airbrush guns lately and im really into it and was wondering what brand or type of gun is really good.

It has some to do with the tuning of the box,but dont ask me how tho.I dont really know honestly. The truck was considered more a bandpass box but i just built it to fit what i had to fit and called it a day.
lol yea i was thinking of doing that. but i didnt know what all had to be figured out. thanks...
-
they are my moscot
when you build something like that does it matter how big the opening of the box is or can you just build a clamshell a shove a bunch of subs in there?
-
what about putting dynamat inside the box wouldnt that make it a tad louder?
-
lmao thats great that sub went through like a hot knife through butter.uploading to youtube right now........should take about 5 minutes. I mean, its not the best vid ive ever made, but if you wanna see someone shove a sub thru the back window then it will be entertainment for a good 2 minutes
-
woot woot cant wait! loluploading to youtube right now........should take about 5 minutes. I mean, its not the best vid ive ever made, but if you wanna see someone shove a sub thru the back window then it will be entertainment for a good 2 minutes
-
get well bro. this place isnt the same without you.
-
you can strap 2 amps to either 1 sub, 2 subs, 3 subs, 4 subs etc with or without the maxlink.
You just got to remember the fact that a 1 ohm stable amp is 2 ohm stable strapped.
When strapped at 2 ohms, each amp is still running at 1 ohm.
So if you ran your amps at 1 ohm strapped, each amp will be seeing a .5 ohm load.
edit: strapping 2 amps together is pretty much making 2 amps into 1 amp, so when you turn the remote knob up on one, it should effect both amps.
are these able to go down to .5ohm without messing them up?
