yeah i want just a hint of blue so a 6000k i guess?

I've looked at install videos and seen how to do so and it doesn't look so hard. Not much to mess up. But i still don't want to put them in and the housings melt. Do you know the brightness differences on 35w and 55w?

A couple questions here guys:
I'm looking to install HID headlights on my Toyota Tacoma but have a few questions first, answers to any or all of them would be greatly appreciated.
How hard are they to install? If i put in my entire car audio system do you believe i have the ability to install them myself or do i spring for a little more and have a pro do it? I want to do it myself just would love some tips on how to do so?
Will HID's melt a stock headlight housing? Will i have to worry about heat issues?
Where to buy? Best prices for the highest quality headlight?
Benefits of having HIDs over halogens? My stock lights are dim and i need a replacement!
Thanks for your help guys!!

with such little spake to work with. id say ur very well on a good track. jl seems like a real good choice. some very SQ in that. kickers should work. but if i were you iry to go a different route (not that a dislike kicker) just from personal experience kicker isnt a very much way to go for some SQ
yeah i loved the kickers but if they blew im not sure i really want to go with them again if you know what i mean. I like the JLs though. I have the RF 400.1 so it will put 200 on each JL is that gonna be too much power, i was thinking it would be pretty perfect. That amp is great for really any shallow 8 set up

Sundown 8's are good if youre open to suggestions, sound really good, and theyre only like $80 a piece iirc. Maybe a bit more.
He only has .4 cubes to work with and 4 inch mounting depth, the sa-8`s are over both of them.
Yeah i looked at Sundown and believe me if i had the room i would put them because i hear those 8s bang, well for an 8 at least, but they mount at 4.5 i want to say and i only have 3 7/8.

Jl is a nice choice
yeah i'm really interested in the JLs but i wish i could find someone who has them. I havent really heard many bad things about JL either.
-
Looking for 2 new 8 inch subs since my current kickers are blown, i can replace the kickers with the same ones or go with something different.
Kenwood Excelon
JL Audio 8W1V2-4
and Pioneer
Anybody familiar with any of these? I need them to fit a box mounting less than 4 inches, with .4 cubic feet of air space running off a RF Punch 400.1
-
Will i also need a dual in, dual out harness, error code eliminator, adapter cables, and mounting brackets?
-
How much will those run me and where is a good place to get them? Any other suggestions? I have an 04 Toyota Tacoma
-
Anyone know of any good HID manufacturer's? Because i have heard bad stories about bad HIDs. And how hard are they exactly to put in?
-
I have 2 Shallow 8s in the box behind the seat right now but there is only 4 inches of mounting depth and just enough air space for the CVT8 so i dont know if replacing the current woofers with a regular 8 or with shallow 10s or 12s is in option due to the lack of air space so i was wanting to build a console box in my rear seat based on the woofer i plan on buying. I like the RF shallow but I'm open to any other woofer right now but the reason i wanted a shallow for the console box is to limit the size of the box. I'm going to push the woofers with a RF P400.1 so shallows would generally not need as much power.
-
I currently have 2 Kicker CVT 8s in a stealth box behind the seat of a double cab Tacoma. But i plan on building a custom box for 12s, but they have to be shallow. I was looking at RF Punch 3 but I'm open to other suggestions in the same price range. I love my kickers but i need more bass. And would a shallow sub sound different from a full size so if i could get a full should i try and fit it? I would imagine so.
-
Yes that's the idea but idk if i can get the air space big enough to allow for those subs
and if i put two woofers in a box back to back, or magnet to magnet. if they had like 5 inches between the magnets they wouldnt interfere with eachother or mess anything up right? if that makes any sense

Its a double cab, that's the problem. I want to build a rear console that runs over the seat and down into the floor board. I guess its hard to explain through words.
-
I'm thinking about building a rear console for my back seat of my Tacoma and putting 2 RF P3 12 shallows in it. But i was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks on building such an odd shape box or if its a dumb idea all together.
-
How much would any of those 18s run me?
-
How much space do you have? A single 18" woofer may be better for your situation than 2 15s, and it will be cheaper as well.
The whole back seat of a double cab Tacoma. I'm just putting it in the seat. And if i save money on the subs i can go with a bigger amp.
-
What about 1 15 inch to save space and money?
-
$200 per sub, I'd look into the following... Some may be cheaper than $200/per, some may be a bit more...
IA Lethal Injection 15
DC Lv3 15
DD1515/2515(if you can afford it)
SA 15 (B-Stock)
Obsidian 15
AQ SDC2.5 15
Just to name a few that will kill those CVRs. Man I hate them things lol...
Where can you find DC online? like dealers
-
Is RE Audio any good? Ive heard of them. S-EX or SRX?
-
$400 for subs? Or $400 for amp? Or $400 for both lol?
$400 for subs right now. Amp will be upgraded later
-
And im not looking to do competitions or show anyone up just something bigger than 8s and that might turn a couple heads. As far as door speakers i have RF Power in all the doors
-
what is your budget ?
Lets say $400 give or take.

I want more brightness over color. But my lights will be the same light for both lows and highs since my stock lights are like that now. what does that mean ill have to do? any changes with that? is it completely useless to run hids in stock housings?
