  1. Generally you have no concern about it in a 1 or 2 sub setup, unless you play way below your tuning. The time when it is most likely to occur is when you put your subs in rows of 3 or more. Here's a quick sketchup I did as an example for you: http://i172.photobuc...ngissuesbox.jpg

hey that looks like mine lol and yeah cuz of the low tunning and the fact that like Autruche said its a row of three with 1 port like the pic and if i put a piece of wood behind motor i would loose displacement

  2. i have three 12s and port on the same plain and i have unloading problems with the furthest sub from the port but its not to common for it to happen but my box is tuned to like 28 hz and is 50 inches long lol so i dont know depends on set up and variables like all vehicles and equipment , just stating my issue and that it is possible

  3. friend of mind got 2 4k powerbass on alpine type x and hammers hard putting around 1600 to each sub that is clamped power after box rise. if it is that much power aq will handle that way better by long shoot in low tuned box. he already blew 1 type x with just one 4k powerbass.

    that guys an asshole

but what james said (forum asshole) two diff subs . my Xs are clean if i switched out to aq and kept everything the same i would see higher numbers on the meter and be louder

  4. Wait a minute? Was it you that posted a couple weeks ago about Playing a sub from an old school home receiver?

    not i

i said power them with a car amp and battery but use the signal from the receiver so it works like all your floor speakers . i have a two sub outs on my receiver but its a 4oo dollar hdmi receiver plus i have another receiver and i use it as an amp to power 10 total floor speakers and a powered sub but im going to build another sub box for two type rs and run them off an 12 volt amp and battery and just keep a trickle charger on it all the time

  5. My rooms pretty small lol just for music i was wondering if i could gook them up to my TV that would be cool i have some stero speakers as well. and idk yet on the amp..

so you have a receiver ?

i would get a car battery and an amp and wire it like a car except use the rcas from the receiver to the amplifier the its just like a powered sub with surround or whatever

  6. naw no need for specs if your putting it in your room . i would build a box big enough to tune it low like 25 hz for sound quality and build it so the subs fire down and port loading towards a wall or subs forwards and port still loading towards a wall . but not to big or the sub will move alot but you wont hear much lol

how are you powering these and what are you going to use these for like music movies partys all lol and what size of room are these going in ?

  7. you guys are expensive id buy the 3/4 mdf and all supplys and make it a little bigger than that box and tune it a little lower and charge 70 to 100 depending on how much bigger she wants it but if she wants same size even after you tell her the benefits of building it a little bigger and tune little lower id charge her 70

this is all my personal opinion :pardon:
