  1. i dont see any rules being broken :)

    welcome to the forum!

i dont see you having a problem with weight till way past 100lbs. If its sagging from the weight of a small boy, you might need to replace the shocks/struts/springs anyway.

The car you describe should be able to seat 4 adults so i dont see why 200lbs of bass should be a problem, unless its already a problem from age. I own a 2001, i know its hard, but lets face it, thats an old car......it wouldnt surprise me if the suspension was getting weak.

WERD.......We had a 03 without any subs in the trunk and it had a horrible squat in the rear, this thing sat cali like it was a low rider haha. So if you have that if you have that issue you may need to replace some suspension components

  2. I like car audio because its not like really wasting money. You see your system grow and as you spend money you have things to show for it...Sitting inside the car as the bass starts pounding your ear drums, tickling your and the way people look at you as you pass them and rattle their license plate as much as your own. Then when you want something new (assuming what you have is decent) you can resell for a decent amount and buy new. Car audio is a lot like jewelry, if it a good brand the product doesn't depreciate a lot over time.

  3. maybe a aq750 i'm sure it van do over rated at about a 1000. but i'd say a aq1200 so you can upgrade if you want to.

Thats what I was figuring too cause I got these subs with a car I bought so I didnt pay shit for them and I dont plan on keeping them for ever. I eventually want to get better subs but for now I might as well use what I have but Im sure my ppi is not giving them the power they need

  4. I have made a few topics asking questions on here (like most do) because I have been out of the scene for so long.

Anyway, I have 2 kicker 15" cvr's now and was wanting to do away with them and get 2 12's in a ported box. Well I

was advised to keep the 15's and build a nice sealed box for them(because I donted have room for a port box). I have

a ppi pc1400 which if I remember right is 400x1 at 4ohm 800x1 at 2ohm and not sure what it does at 1ohm because its not

rated for 1ohm although I have been running it at 1ohm for 2 years with no problems. My question is can I get away with

running a bigger amp on my subs without blowing them? My subs are rated 1000peak and 500rms. I was thinking about an

Autotek 2000d. I only want to spend around 300.00 tops on a amp. So let me know what you guys think.
