i dont see any rules being broken
welcome to the forum!
i dont see you having a problem with weight till way past 100lbs. If its sagging from the weight of a small boy, you might need to replace the shocks/struts/springs anyway.
The car you describe should be able to seat 4 adults so i dont see why 200lbs of bass should be a problem, unless its already a problem from age. I own a 2001, i know its hard, but lets face it, thats an old car......it wouldnt surprise me if the suspension was getting weak.
WERD.......We had a 03 without any subs in the trunk and it had a horrible squat in the rear, this thing sat cali like it was a low rider haha. So if you have that if you have that issue you may need to replace some suspension components

I like car audio because its not like really wasting money. You see your system grow and as you spend money you have things to show for it...Sitting inside the car as the bass starts pounding your ear drums, tickling your and the way people look at you as you pass them and rattle their license plate as much as your own. Then when you want something new (assuming what you have is decent) you can resell for a decent amount and buy new. Car audio is a lot like jewelry, if it a good brand the product doesn't depreciate a lot over time.

for right around 300 what would be my better option: 2re 1500d, 1aq1200, 1sax-1200d
-
Ok so if the re amp is 1500 is it true and if the aq is 1200 what what I have been reading it is closer to 1500rms is this correct? I dont want to spend my money twice. I want to get it right the first time, its bad enough I have to use cvr's
-
Which is better the aq in the re?
-
what do you all think about the us amps XT4000DEV2? How do they compare to aq and or sundown ect...
-
1k-2k I have 300.00 cash to spend. I don't want junk
-
maybe a aq750 i'm sure it van do over rated at about a 1000. but i'd say a aq1200 so you can upgrade if you want to.
Thats what I was figuring too cause I got these subs with a car I bought so I didnt pay shit for them and I dont plan on keeping them for ever. I eventually want to get better subs but for now I might as well use what I have but Im sure my ppi is not giving them the power they need
-
Ok. I will turn the bass boost off on my autotek in my truck but I rarely drive the truck so....... As for my car, will the aq 1200d be to much for my 15's? If so what do I do to assure I don't blow them?
-
Feel free to educate me guys.
Also my new deck is 5volt.......
Trying to help 2 people with one brain haha, what HU do you have?
not sure what you mean by the 2people one brain statement but I have an eclipse avn726ea
-
Well i dont plan on being buried with these speakers so if I were to get that amp then I will have room to add more watt subs later and I can always turn it down if it is doing to much
-
Feel free to educate me guys.
Also my new deck is 5volt.......
-
How am I supposed to set up the amp to get better results
-
How good is the quality of the aq amps?
and if you were referring to me in the turned all the way up I have my bass boost all the way up and my gain 3/4 the way up.
-
Whats the price on the AQ and where can I find it? I have a autotek 1000.2 on 2 memphis 10's in my truck turned all the way up and it does not impress me at all so I don't really want to go that rout, just not sure about these new amps. I dont know what is good and what isnt.
-
Do you think the 1500.1 would be alright? Im not sure how much more the subs will handle over what they are rated. Im just not sure if the amp I have is pushing them to their full potential.
-
I have made a few topics asking questions on here (like most do) because I have been out of the scene for so long.
Anyway, I have 2 kicker 15" cvr's now and was wanting to do away with them and get 2 12's in a ported box. Well I
was advised to keep the 15's and build a nice sealed box for them(because I donted have room for a port box). I have
a ppi pc1400 which if I remember right is 400x1 at 4ohm 800x1 at 2ohm and not sure what it does at 1ohm because its not
rated for 1ohm although I have been running it at 1ohm for 2 years with no problems. My question is can I get away with
running a bigger amp on my subs without blowing them? My subs are rated 1000peak and 500rms. I was thinking about an
Autotek 2000d. I only want to spend around 300.00 tops on a amp. So let me know what you guys think.

Thank you Pac

Ok so a ported 15" box is not going to work. I know if I run my 15's in a sealed box I will see around 140 but I want to go a little louder than that. Is there a way to build a ported 12" box with my specs to do the a 145db on 1600rms? I know someone will ask what subs I will be using and I dont really have an answer for that because up until today I planned on just running my 15's.

HAHA i wish that were an option. I have to have some trunk space for hauling my welding bag and groceries once in a while.
