  1. well im not in R/D as much as i am just one of the gunea pigs :D

its true, i did get the first 4 T4k's. They did ask me to provide feedback and there was a few bugs that were fixed after i had issues. They were quick to let me try them first because i have one of the few street vehicles that can support that much power. That helps them get more accurate results.

Also i had a prototype 40farad carbon cap when they first came out (still in a generic, non marked plastic case). Thats what started it all for me really. (Sactownstang aka Dan got one too :D). Recently i got to test a few 3sixty.2's after they revised the bluetooth hardware inside......after a month of reporting the results they let me keep them which was cool as F#Ck! :D :D plus i think i was one of the first on the forums anyway to use a 3sixty.2 to begin with a few years ago.

so no im not "paid" by them but they do make it right for me and they know i have a good "test bench" for their new products.

How is the new bluetooth hardware?

  2. the problem you run into with conventional battery, starter draw, and alternator loading equipment such as the VAT 45 is that it cant test a diode trio that has been beefed with 8 diodes which is common in a HO alt. it will flag a bad diode reading everytime.

Excellent info Kandiman. I always wondered why they could never get a proper reading.

  3. That truck uses a group 59 battery, deminsions 10.24" x 7.8" x 7.8" tall.

A D2400 is 10.24" x 6.65" x 8.31" tall. Really, a D2400 should fall right in the stock location, it's the same deminsions, just half an inch taller.

I got a D3100 under the hood of the Expo and it is originally a group 34. I had to remove the stock battery tray tho. It works.

  4. Link/Chris/MLA so many aliases is correct. The module is not at a constant 15.0 or so volts. It fluctuates with the state of the battery and also the heat. I get a good 15.2 when I'm cold (sometimes .3) but when it warms up it drops and rest around 14.7 or 14.8 depending on how hot it is and what I'm running at the time. The module is an excellent investment.
