Hmm, look like I've got way overkill electrical system cause I have brand new one d1200 and two d3100 and h.o. alt(on the way). I'm running only 3k watts amp. But I think it would be nice to play full tilt at idle for a long time before voltage start to drop. I haven't install batteries yet, waiting for my alt. I can always upgrade amp in the future.
Naw man that ain't overkill. I have a D6500 under the hood with (2) D3100s waiting to go into the back and I also have (2) 270A Alts waiting to be installed once the weather clears up. I only have a T4000-1BD and a Power 750X. I'll be upgrading soon to a (2) T2500-1BDCPs and (2) T600-2.

the chasis has far more surface area than a single run or two runs of 1/0 will ever have.
If you properly ground to the chassis/frame you will not need a ground run. measure your voltage under load at the front and the rear of the vehicle simultaneously and see what it does.

AH has nothing to do with your requirement in a battery for audio uses. AH is a test at low amp draw for an extended period of time. Audio needs instantaneous power.
Depends on what application you are running the batteries in. You would probably want to use a OEM replacement battery upfront and then you could put anything in the back.
I was about to make that same comment on AH.

Well its dark so pics won't happen right now. I don't know where he got HAMMER from. LOL. Basically the head of the bolt snapped off. I can actually reach behind the alt and feel almost 1/2 inch of the threads sticking out so I should be able to make it happen. I might be able to use some PB blaster and take some needle nose pliers and turn it from the rear.

So I was taking my old alt off and I snapped one of the bolts that hold it on. Its a 98 Ford Expedition. I got 2 brand new alts and I can't even install these things yet!!! Damn. Do anyone know of any way to get it out? I know I can use a drill but that's a very small area. Maybe a 90% drill will do the trick. Any suggestions?

Nathan will the 555 work with the D6500? If so I'm gonna need one of those added to my battery order. Also did you happen to find any extra (like 2) D3100 stickers so that I can slap them on side of my (2) D3100s? thanks.
