Ranting about work
jrot replied to Torquemaster69's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
yeah man guys like that are just idiots, not worth the anger, but i wouldn't blame you for whooping the shit outa them, though again don't think they are worth it. that vid was awesome too. -
my sa8 is a dual 2ohm, @supercharged, thanks for the input, looks like maybe i should do some research, but as of now i only have the 1 sa8 and it very well may stay that way, not sure though, so 2k or even the 1k might be a bit of over kill, like i said though i could add a second sa8 but i don't know if my front speakers could keep up.
-
well skulls i would but I've already got the reference 405s for my other speakers and its sub channel will run some of those jl mid drivers in the future, i also considered the reference 1.1000 and adding a second sa8 but i don't think my fronts could hang with that and i don't have room for coax big enough to hang with that either, what do you think.
-
is it? i thought it was pretty good, but I'm a noob, i like the reference 405s i have now so i figured the matching mono would be pretty nice too, what would you recommend instead?
-
yeah i pondered the tape thing but was afraid it would cause me to poke the screen, ill try the pick thing and if that doesn't work then ill just live with it until i can just buy a new top.
-
I'm sorry guys i should have been more clear, no i haven't bought it yet but I'm pretty well sold on it, I'm getting the reference 500.1.
-
I'm getting one of these sound stream 500.1 class D mono block amps to power my sundown sa8, i was just curious if anyone has ever used one or been around one ect, I'm sure they are good but I'm just excited for what i have to look forward to.

ok well apparently one of my cats jumped in my car unseen after work on tuesday and i was off weds. and for over 24hrs i didnt get into my car that gets well over 140F+ in these hot summer days. well, needless to say that despite his best efforts he did not make it through the day but i didnt find him until this morning (thurs) around 11am where i found him in my rear passenger floor board, well, now my car reeks of dead animal and i need to know the right way to get it out...it appears to only be in the very corner which will be easy to pull up and get under. so i guess the question is, is there a certain product or process i need to do to make this smell go away? or if a take it to a detailer will they do it? ive never had to deal with anything like this so im totally lost.
-
well thats what i was curious of what kind of car it was...ive used a guy on ebay for a couple things and was pretty happy with what i got and the prices were fair...though i didnt have him do custom wraps as of yet but he made it sound like it wouldnt be to much more than the cost would be if it was a part he already made...only douwn side is you would have to send the part for him to make the molds ect...i drive and old supra and can find CF parts pretty easily so i figured they make alot of stuff for all kinds of cars....i was just saying that if the cost wasnt a whole lot different then you cant beat the look of real CF, nothing against the vinyl.

anyone else have cool ideas? maybe a neat tool that i didnt think of or anything?
-
haha i guess im gonna have to...with a non broken one you use a heat gun and a suction cup. but mine is broke enough that the cup wont suction to the screen so i have to figure out something else
-
but its taped so hard on the sides to hold the glass in that every time i try to pick at it it just splinters and gets worse...is that gonna ind up being my only option though? just fuckin rip it out how ever? clean well and reinstall? i was hoping to do this by getting an edge up and slinding a card around to break the tape seal...there is nothing else holding it in but 3m tape no screws or anything.
