yep, give that a try
Pretty sure the alpine mrp-240 4 channel 50x4 takes less to power than the kenwood kac-7203 250 rms x 2 @ 2 ohms amp powering the 15's.
Oh the gain is up rather high due to my head unit should i tuirn that down a bit? (think i read something somewhere online about doing this might be wrong)

I would have to say too much current draw for that wire. Is it cheap wire or smaller than what you had?
cheap wire ... should i change the cheap wire onto the smaller alpine 4 channel amp and the rockford wire to the bigger amp (sub amp) til i can get a better wire?

picture looks like a piece that you cut off with a burnt end on it.
You would be correct . The wire i cut it off (its too cold to sit and take pics outside) and one end was charred the red that connected to my battery

Ok i had prev. installed a alpine 4 chgannel amp and then got a 15 inch rockford subs and kenwood amp. I installed everything the same as i did for the alpine but didnt run a distribution blockl due to getting a capacitor this weekend that has one built in, I ran the power wires together to the trunk and yesterday during a rainy day my subs started cutting in and out. after some trouble shooting i found this.

what is the cause of this?
Ps i used different brands of wires. rockford fosgate for the alpine and some offbrand for the kenwood. Im guessinf cheap wire.

well the 9800bt is the shit and has a 24bitburrbrown d/a converter...sweet
ipod ready, 5 volt preouts, full color customizable display, 16 band eq 3 way crossover
so obviously its the shit bro, better than the 2volt preouts on alpines
easy to navigate too, if you got the cash, go for it, its the top cd player next to flip outs in pioneers lineup
what does the 24bit thing do???? and is it wort it

or the new pioneers, 4900ub, 5900ub, 6900ub
type r sealed, kappa sealed, depends on budget cause you got a lot of options
my budget is well unlimited in a way..... just depends on how fast i want it in my car..... id say by dec 23rd i can have 1,000-2,000 to blow on the subs.
I have a question why do you say get a different head unit? The unit i have is clear and plays rather loud with no distortion. So whats the pro's of other units etc higher voltage preamp etc?
How are these two ?

from a sony employee (myself) i'd get another headunit
for sub, an Infinity Kappa would work nice with it
Can you suggest a decent head unit ? Its still within 30 days from purchase for my current one @ bestbuy

OK im going for a decent setup with clarity in mind not deep bass but enough to feel it. So far I have Infinity speakers in the interior and the sound is very clear so my question is what subs would work with my current setup to help produce bass but not distort my sound.
Sony CDX-GT710 Head Unit
Front Infinity 5 1/4's 5022i
Rear Infinity 6x9's 9623i
Alpine MRP-F250 4 channel 50rms x 4
